... to have not named my baby yet? (6 weeks, tomorrow)

Hi there - DS will be 6 weeks, tomorrow Sad I have a handful of names I love, but it's becoming impossible. I have tried phoning the registration office; they will not allow me to move my appointment (it's tomorrow)...

Has anyone else been in this situation? Family, and friends, think I'm being unfair to DS...

Lovely names! Well done OP. He's gorgeous.

EweAreHere · 30/03/2016 19:08

Elliott is a lovely name. Congratulations.

Purplepixiedust · 30/03/2016 19:21

Take the names in your shortlist and shout them to one another from a different room. Which sounds best because at some point you will have to call them :)

WhoaCadburys · 30/03/2016 19:23

So sorry for your losses. Elliot Charles is lovely Smile

Purplepixiedust · 30/03/2016 19:24

Just seen you have chosen :) Great name!

cuntycowfacemonkey · 30/03/2016 20:05

Yay! Was really hoping you would go with Elliott it's perfect for him.

BlackberryandNettle · 30/03/2016 20:15

Elliot Charles is a gorgeous name, well done choosing! Such a lovely happy looking baby too, congratulations x

Finola1step · 30/03/2016 20:17

Whoop!Whoop! For Elliot Charles.

Great choice. Lovely name for a lovely baby. That's all that matters. Not naming before birth or 42 days later. Enjoy.

septembersunshine · 30/03/2016 20:22

I would get all the names on your list and hold him and look at him (while awake) and see if you can see something in his face. Say each name to him. See what happens. A sign is what you need to help seal that decision (I realise I sound nuts...) but I think if they all sound much the muchness to you then you need something to defiantly put one name firmly in your head. Then there will be no regrets tomorrow. Maybe there will be a small smile or just the feeling that he's a (you fill in the gaps). He's a stunner!! Good luck

emwithme · 30/03/2016 20:24

Hello Elliot!

I still can't believe no one suggested Balonz

BurstMyBubbles · 30/03/2016 20:33

Yay I came on to vote Elliot 😍 - I know an Eliot James, we do call him El sometimes. Try singing happy birthday dear Elliot and see how right it feels

Ciaran James, or CJ for short

SovietKitsch · 30/03/2016 20:44

Ah dash, I knew If I commented without RTFT I would miss the name! Congrats on managing to choose Flowers

SandunesAndRainclouds · 30/03/2016 20:48

Elliott Charles... Lovely! Sounds like an author in my slightly odd mind Flowers

ZanyMobster · 30/03/2016 21:13

My Elliott is called El, Els, Elli or blondie (obviously due to hair not his his name lol). I don'tdon'tthink think of the NNs being girly, they are just his names. He likes El as he says it's like Supermans real name. His initials are EE so he has also been called mobile network or more recently BT by his sports coaches Hmm people make up all kinds of strange things.

We didn't decide on his name till I was in labour. It wasn't even on our radar but I absolutely love it now, his middle name is Aaron.

Throwingshadeagain · 30/03/2016 21:13

WildwestWind · 30/03/2016 21:52

We have an Eliot in our family and he's thoughtful, artistic and great fun. Super name!

musicposy · 30/03/2016 22:04

I'm really glad he's an Elliot - when I first read your shortlist I liked Oliver or Noah but the minute I saw his pic I thought "Elliot". I think it really suits him. Not even sure why!

musicposy · 30/03/2016 22:05

Yes and a friend of mine has an Elliot, now 17, who is a really lovely lad - and was the cutest baby - just like yours :-) it's a great name.
