I was so cross with another car owner today I shoved a bag of dog poo in his car grille

I probably was bu but it was heat of the moment and it's not like ive damaged his car. It was just gently placed in the plastic fan blade type thing, could be easily pulled out.

He had parked right behind me so that I couldn't open my boot, he was touching my tow bar. Normally I would hang the poo bag on the tow bar till I get home but I couldn't reach it. Couldn't get the dog in the boot. More importantly I couldn't reverse out the space like I was planning to and had to go forwards over a 45degree slope/bank and was worried for a minute the car was going to topple over.

I hope it made his car smell of poo on the way home!

That is just gross.

I hate people who do the "what if this happened" stuff but in this case, what if the bag flew off, hit someone's windscreen and caused them to crash?

Find a bin. Put it in your car. Get a poo pod if your worried about the smell

CrohnicallyAspie · 20/03/2016 20:28

Can I recommend a Muksak? It's a leakproof and smell proof box, you bag your dog's poo, put it in there and it will be safe until you can get to a bin.

Or until you find it at the bottom of your rucksack several weeks later and realise with a sinking heart that it is so truly smell proof that you actually forgot you had used it...

WhoTheFuckIsSimon · 20/03/2016 20:28

I don't see how a bag of poo on my own tow bar affects anyone else. It's always there when I get home....I have a swan neck tow bar so it's quite long.....i put it on the actual ball bit which has a long stem.

It's not in the mechanism of the vehicle at all. The initial wide plastic fan blade bits are purely decorative.

I don't balance my poo bag on top of the horizontal bit of the tow bar.

We often hang the poo from the tow bar. As do lots of other drivers judging by the number of cars we see heading back from the forest or seefront with little bags fluttering.

Newes · 20/03/2016 20:30

I'd be driving behind you going wtf, that looks like a bag of shite, surely not

WhoTheFuckIsSimon · 20/03/2016 20:30

I promise it wouldn't fly off. Will check out those mucksaks though.

Learn something new every day. Im going to look at the backs of car with interest now.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 20/03/2016 20:32

Jesus, I think this explains why Dh and i were Shock when we saw a nappy hanging off someone driven car. Is that what people are doing now? Eugh.

WhoTheFuckIsSimon · 20/03/2016 20:33

Like this.

WhoTheFuckIsSimon · 20/03/2016 20:34

Was the nappy in a bag?

OP posts:
witsender · 20/03/2016 20:34

It doesn't harm anyone else, I'm surprised at the outrage!

Newes · 20/03/2016 20:35

So, if you see a car with a bag swinging merrily off the back it's OP.
If you see a car whose driver has a puzzled, slightly nauseated expression and shit dribbling down the grille it's someone who pissed OP off

ilovesooty · 20/03/2016 20:36

Do you put used nappies on the windscreens of cars that annoy you as well?

iminshock · 20/03/2016 20:39

Yet another reason to hate dogs and their owners

leelu66 · 20/03/2016 20:40

I sympathise, but wouldn't it have been impossible for you to reverse out even if he had parked a foot behind you? It sounds like you object to him parking behind you at all. Was he legally parked?

Spudlet · 20/03/2016 20:41

I've found my people! I don't have a tow bar, but I've been known to hang poo bags off the rear windscreen wiper. Never lost one yet.

Newes · 20/03/2016 20:41

Give over, iminshock. The dog didn't do it. Well, it did do it, I suppose, but not the criminal damage bit.

MamaLazarou · 20/03/2016 20:43

Gross. YABU.

weirdsister · 20/03/2016 20:43

Had you parked too close to the car in front?

Penguinepenguins · 20/03/2016 20:43

Oh dear god I've heard it all now...

newes you have said everything I have been thinking whilst catching up with this thread

I'm not a dog owner but wouldn't you put the poo bag in a bin? Is it something your required to take home with you?

As if that's the case I shall need to tell my mum as she always finds a bin to dispose of it before returning home from beach or country walks... Oh wait it's because she hasn't got a tow-bar

I'm sorry I don't know what to make of this!

DontOpenDeadInside · 20/03/2016 20:47

Obviously if there are bins you use one. A particular place I take my dog has no bins. If she poos on a track, I'll flick it into the undergrowth, but if it's near the car park then I'll bag it and put it on back wiper (no tow bar) Only happened a few times though.
