Toddlers - Dick and Fanny.
Not short for anything, apparently. British family.
Lordy.

I wouldn't show anyone any the DC's passports, no. There's nothing to see. Confused

GrouchyKiwi · 09/03/2016 19:43

My great grandparents were Dick and Fanny.

NorbertDentressangle · 09/03/2016 19:44

I've met brothers (can't remember if they were twins or not) called Ronnie and Reggie.

They'd be in their late 20s/early 30s now

liberatedwine · 09/03/2016 19:51

Dick and Fanny (of Faraway Tree fame, not the twins the OP has met) were renamed Rick and Franny. Even Bessie is now Beth.

lulucappuccino · 09/03/2016 19:56

The fact that people appear to disbelieve me means that I'm NBU! 😁

It isn't uncommon for people to show their friends their kids first passports!

I feel cheated now. Some of our neighbours asked DH to be a countersignatory on the application form for their DC's first passport. They never bothered coming over to show us the shiny new passports when they arrived Sad

Well in saying that I once worked for a place and we employed a company called Littlehampton, their site managers were called Steve Dicker and John Falick...true Grin

LilacSpunkMonkey · 09/03/2016 20:05

Twins turned up in Reception at the school my Mum taught at called...Bonnie and Clyde.

Infamous gangster pairings seems to be popular.

3BusyBabies · 09/03/2016 20:05

I once knew of a child called 'Chlamydia' no word of a lie. She must be about 16 now. I don't know how it was spelt it but have always wondered how they got it passed by the registrar Confused. The mum had special needs and thought it sounded pretty!!!!! I swear I'm not making this up.

DisappointedOne · 09/03/2016 20:06

There are twins locally called Comfort and Febreze. Confused

Clockworklemon · 09/03/2016 20:06

Coconutty I believe you about the Dicks! They were living legends around Aylesbury! I don't know why it's amusing me so much again!!? Very childish I know! But glad someone else remembers them!

CallaLilli · 09/03/2016 20:06

Someone just needs to mention the Le-a they once taught and we'll have baby name bingo...

SamanthaBrique · 09/03/2016 20:07

There are twins locally called Comfort and Febreze.

No there bloody aren't!

Vintage45 · 09/03/2016 20:07

Hahaha 3Busy. I remember a girl called chicuntala and a Mrs Whore. Its all possible Grin I also know a little girl called Lettuce, maybe the mum is going to call the next one cucumber.

Oldraver · 09/03/2016 20:09

I've just text OH if he knew Everhard Dick...he asked if it was a joke

GreatFuckability · 09/03/2016 20:09

Lettice is a real name.

LoisWilkersonsLastNerve · 09/03/2016 20:10

Oh gawd. They absolutely cannot come up here to Scotland to live. Fanny is used as an insult. Add Dick into the equation and....yikes. I hope they're not reading this bless them. Is it in anyway possible they haven't twigged and just think they are nice literary names?

Oldraver · 09/03/2016 20:11

Everyone knows everyone on that estate

Vintage45 · 09/03/2016 20:11

So is what the OP said, so not sure what you mean Great?

SatsukiKusakabe · 09/03/2016 20:12

Some one always turns up on these name threads who knows Chlamydia, she must be pretty popular too Grin

Snopes

TimeToMuskUp · 09/03/2016 20:12

Rogan and Josh are the best names for twins ever. When I sell my naughty DCs and buy new ones I shall name them that.

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 09/03/2016 20:13

Those poor children. Stupid idiot parents.

iklboo · 09/03/2016 20:13

I did know a Bertie, Gertie & Jemima once. That's tame in comparison.
