To be a tad annoyed with maternity unit

I phoned the maternity unit at 11am today after contracting since yesterday, they told me to come in for 5 tonight. Still contracting and I haven't been checked on
Just on a bed right next to the nurses station where I can here one nurse saying "bed 3 (me) can't possibly be in Labour she must have ate too much" is this standard this is my first so no idea. Just in so much pain and not really sure what I expected

Congratulations! Try to get some rest. When your DS gets back from SCBU (hopefully just a quick visit) try to just keep him on your chest with lots of skin to skin and easy access to your breasts :) You've both been through a lot!

Sleep for an hour or two whilst they assess him and can't be with him, then he'll either be back with you doing skin to skin or you'll be with him as he has a really short stay x

Wow - what fabulous news! When I was tired after deliveries, the lovely midwives took my babies to the nursery for a few hours in the night so I could get some sleep. I'd imagine you are in need of a gazillion hours of kip now after that marathon! You're awesome xx

Nurse helped me out of bed at my request but have a bag thig between my legs and my legs were still numb so collapsed in blood on the floor
