Do these stars not look in the mirror?
Or have honest friends to tell them?
Why does no-one wear tights anymore?

My postwoman is rarely sighted in trousers even over the winter.

I must remember to scream in horror the next time I see her.

You're unusually late to this one, Lass Hmm Been busy putting the boot in elsewhere?

LilacSpunkMonkey · 16/02/2016 23:44

Bloody he'll Lass.

I really don't understand why you're on this site so much. You really seem to dislike most other women.

Oh, penny drops...

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 16/02/2016 23:51

As usual a different opinion is not tolerated. Remind me who appointed you as site moderators? And when?

The dress and shoes are awful. She looks awful. I've seen her look stunning on many occasions - that isn't one of them.

GarlicBake · 17/02/2016 01:01

Grin Lilac

Destinysdaughter · 17/02/2016 01:16

She needs to get her colours done...Grin

Destinysdaughter · 17/02/2016 01:17

Redheads shouldn't wear black. Ever!

GarlicBake · 17/02/2016 01:33

Why not? In case it makes their legs look pale??

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 17/02/2016 01:57

There's no reason for redheads not to wear black. (Obviously she can wear what she likes - even gladiator sandals and they look awful on anyone who isn't Russell Crowell in his prime)

But if you mean from a colour point of view then black looks much more striking with blonde, silver, gray or black hair but black with red hair, particularly if it's an intense red, can be really striking too. If anything it's just mouse- browns which should avoid it if you think getting your colours done is important.

I'm so fed up of this shit. Seems to me, increasingly, that so much misogyny comes from women. We have become our own worst enemies.

Every day the daily misogynist and its shit-for-brains readers are slagging off some female in the public eye, usually for having the temerity to look over 25, even if they're in their 50's, and have been - and still are - far more interesting, successful and attractive than these pathetic keyboard warriors could ever dream of being.

Julianne Moore is fabulous; people like you, OP, are not.

someone missed mnet ethos 101.

It was a different opinion you expressed btw, you made a personal attack.

HoneyDragon · 17/02/2016 08:57

*wasn't

LilacSpunkMonkey · 17/02/2016 09:18

I'm unsure how saying I think you have an usually strong dislike of women makes me a site moderator.

Surely that just makes me observant?

apricotdanish · 17/02/2016 11:15

Just seen her on 'This Morning' with said legs exposed. She looks great!

MsBojangles · 17/02/2016 12:17

Her hair colour looked bloody amazing, bet that didn't come out of a box!

Foginthehills · 17/02/2016 21:06

Best post in the thread SmellslikemiddleagedSpirit

Julianne Moore's bare knees have achieved more than the OP ever will.

SmellsLikeMiddleAgeSpirit · 17/02/2016 23:00

Aw, thanks Fog I'm usually a thread ninja!

Just bugs me so much that our foremothers fought hard to get us out of the kitchen, and now when we see talented or successful women, rather than being celebrated, they are trashed for minor or non existent physical imperfections... by women!

Makes me weep.

iPaid · 18/02/2016 01:22

How is what you're saying to me not as bad as what you're accusing the DM and their readers of doing? How do you get to take the moral high ground by slagging off another woman, i.e. me? I haven't said anything ageist about JM - I'm in my 50s too. I haven't insulted her acting although I do think she's made some bad films and demeans other women with gratuitous nudity and sex scenes. But this wasn't the subject of this thread. It was whether she would have looked better on this occasion if she'd worn a pair of tights with that outfit. So you and your fangirl Fog are overreacting and being quite vile.

SmellsLikeMiddleAgeSpirit · 18/02/2016 01:37

What I actually wrote, Ipaid, was that people like you (by which I meant those who anonymously tear strips off women in the public eye) are not fabulous .
Not fabulous? Hardly vile or personally slagging you off, is it?! Heck, for a mountain of reasons I'm not fabulous either.
And I maintain that this constant criticism, even if low level, of successful women is pretty distasteful and misogynistic.

I have a fan girl? Yay!

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 18/02/2016 02:09

It was not a different opinion you expressed btw, you made a personal attack (I assume you missed out the word "not")

Julianne Moore is not a poster on the site.

So all the comments about just off the top of my head, say Stephen Fry, George Osborne, Katie Hopkins, Princess Kate , Louise Mensch will be deleted too? Can't see that happening.

As for strong dislike of women, no just a dislike of the over the top fawning displayed on here.

Chippednailvarnish · 18/02/2016 08:48

Every single positive comment you have made about her on this thread has been followed by a negative comment OP. It's like you just can't help being critical of another woman.

slithytove · 18/02/2016 09:06

Redhead with pale bare legs v.s. Tanned bare legs, v.s. Friend wearing tights

I don't think her legs look any better than Kimberley's in that picture. I do however think they look far better pale then they do fake tanned.

And as for her face when fake tanned v.s. Naturally pale - well I don't want to make any negative comments but she has realised she looks better pale. And it's a shame that comments like the ones on this thread might make other pale girls feel they have to fake tan to fit in to some synthetic idea of beautiful.

Fake tan is just vulgar.

tkndnv · 18/02/2016 09:49

Why? She looks perfectly fine to me. She is hardly showing lots of flesh.
