I think the clothes look fine. If you starve yourself those sorts of clothes hang and droop appropriately. Normal people don't do that and might not look very good in them.
The celebrity who looks absolutely ridiculous in nearly all the expensive clothes she buys, especially when she's doing casual, is Katie Holmes. Google image her.
