AIBU?

To not know what to call my daughter...

It's been 2 days since we have had her and it's so stressful for me! I want her to have a name and feel bad she doesn't. I have a thread going in Baby Names and hoping that will get a name to jump out at me, but feel bad as DS had a name when we found out his gender.

How long until you found a name?

Oo, she's very bonny! Congratulations.

How about:
Lilian Grace, nn Lily?

I love the name Zenobia, but I recognise I am in a tiny minority with that one!

Dinah
Roberta
Miriam
I like Catrina, but the hurricane's ruined that, hasn't it? Maybe Catriona? Or Catrin?
Celia
Miranda (well, the 80s are back in fashion)
Rosalind

Well, I was at a loss before I saw the photo, as I'm not at all good at making decisions or AM I? but when I saw her, the name that sprang to mind is Cuddlechops, which I think goes very nicely with Grace.

I do hope this has been helpful.

Was Zenobia not the name of the pretend country in the Princess Diaries?

She's lovely!

Ruby grace
Ellie grace
Isabella grace
Matilda grace
Laura/laurel grace
Imogen grace

We went for pippa and everyone seems to like it - could be short for Philippa or Penelope or Patricia if you wanted a longer one. Since reading "Elizabeth is missing", I now love Maude. Claudia is nice too, good suggestion, or Clara for a similar sound.

I liked tabitha and Amber, but DP hated them :(

It took us nearly six weeks to decide on a name for DD! In fact we got a letter from the Registrar (?) saying if we didn't register her name and birth by a certain date we would be fined £100. So no need to panic just yet Smile.

What about Scarlet? Or Raven (my current favourite unusual name)

Both are gorgeous! Grace seems to suit her. Any book, film characters or authors that might inspire you? If you like Claudia then at least you've found something you like!

I think she could also make a charming Charlotte.

I have a Heidi and an Imogen. I love the suggestion Claudia. I also love Clara (Dr Who fans?).

No name suggestions, but wanted to say what a lovely ds you have there.
He clearly loves his new sister, what a darling.

I saw your other thread earlier, and like Jasmine best from that list. Fletcher would feel extra special too if you went for his favourite.

That was Genovia - also a lovely name!

Oh, also, the name your son liked: Jasmine. I had a friend called Jasmine when I was a teenager, with that spelling (apparently less common than Jasmin?). I think it's a beautiful name, quite exotic in its own way, and as she gets older she might prefer the full or one of the many abbreviations (my friend preferred Jazza but got a lot of Jas, Minne and Mina!).

Same applies to the Charlotte I mentioned actually, given you've got Charlie, Lottie and Charlotte as options.

NewLife - he has waited many years to be a big brother! It just wasn't happening! :( thank goodness we have one now and she was worth the wait, he seems to think so too!

I think she is Nina. Which is not a name I have ever considered before but it suits her little squashy beautiful face.

My favourite names are old lady names - Nancy, Margot, Edith...

But I still think she's Nina.

She is lovely.

Love the name Fletcher btw, though went with Dexter. If he had been a girl he would have been Tabitha.

Also love:
Hannelie
Robyn
Betty (not for everyone but my friend has a Betty)
Meredith
Peggy
Jenny

But I have weird taste. She looks like a Peggy to me though...

I have a Matilda Grace! I'm biased, but I think it's a beautiful name. We always get positive comments on it.

Love Annabelle and Sienna too.
