To not know what to call my daughter...

It's been 2 days since we have had her and it's so stressful for me! I want her to have a name and feel bad she doesn't. I have a thread going in Baby Names and hoping that will get a name to jump out at me, but feel bad as DS had a name when we found out his gender.

How long until you found a name?

Melody Grace

PuckyMup · 11/02/2016 18:30

Catherine Grace (Kitty) if she was mine :)

Berora · 11/02/2016 18:31

What a wonderful baby, congratulations!

Whatever name you choose, it's worth thinking about how it may get abbreviated when your DD reaches school and whether you/DD will like the short form. Smile

Girlfriend36 · 11/02/2016 18:33

She is beautiful - congratulations!

I think an old English name would suit her like Charlotte (Lottie), Rose, Clara, Emily, Olivia, Daisy, Molly or Ruby......

MardyBra · 11/02/2016 18:33

Yabu. There's a baby names topic for all this gumph.

Girlfriend36 · 11/02/2016 18:33

If she were mine she would be Bonnie Grace Smile

ManneryTowers · 11/02/2016 18:35

I can't say Bonnie without thinking Big Rich Texas. Admittedly that says more about me!
Jessica or Claudia are beautiful

Serioussteve · 11/02/2016 18:35

Alicia?
Juliette?
Zara?
Simone?
Isabelle?

I have a Jasmine. The only one in her school. Her name always gets lovely comments.

MrsEdinburgh · 11/02/2016 18:40

Beautiful baby girl you have there & she does look like a Grace & a Jasmine.
So she could be
Jasmine Grace
or
Grace Jasmine

Chamonix1 · 11/02/2016 18:41

Oh my she's just so beautiful.
Freya Grace? If I ever have another little girl Grace will be a definite middle name :)

LeLeFox · 11/02/2016 18:42

Mardy - I never asked for suggestions, I asked if I was unreasonable for not having an incline for her name and wondered how long other people took to name theirs!

All these names are wonderful and I'm chuffed that I'm getting all these suggestions!

Dunno what crawled up your arse though! Grin

rara67 · 11/02/2016 18:45

Many congratulations to you and your family. Please take the time to make the right choice. We were still struggling with DS2 when he was 6 weeks old and we were driving to the registry office still not 100% sure!

Maggie Grace
Fiona Grace
Tabitha Grace
Imogen Grace - shortened to Mimi or Immy?
Jennifer Grace - you must like Jenny!
Sophie Grace
Miriam Grace

Enjoy this precious time when you DD is completely yours. Once you get a name, you get a number, you get in the system etc etc. I enjoyed those nameless weeks so much (he did have a nick-name though and I called him "baby") Best of luck x

Mrsbird311 · 11/02/2016 18:46

Im so chuffed so many people like claudia if i ever have a girl thatll be her name. Jasmine is gorgeous and how proud your ds will be knowing he named her!

Sallystyle · 11/02/2016 18:52

I have a Jasmine. She is also the only one in her year (maybe even school) and like another poster said, we get a lot of compliments on her name.

I always call her Jasmine but her siblings often call her Jazz, Jazzy, J or Jazzle.

She is beautiful OP.

She looks like a Jasmine to me.. or a Tilly

Greengardenpixie · 11/02/2016 18:52

Katy. Lovely plain and simple.

LeLeFox · 11/02/2016 19:01

Thanks all, loving the suggestions, just need DH to take a look.

Do like the idea of Fletch & Jas! I'll see what DH likes out of your suggestions :)
