Not sure whether to take this as a compliment and laugh it off ... or never let him have friends over again lol!!!

OP posts:
LucilleBluth · 27/01/2016 10:23

I have a daughter too and I'm a feminist. But you are reading too much into it, tis not a reflection on society, tis teenage boys having a laugh. My DD is five and runs circles around her brothers, let's not allude to girls being so innocent that they wouldn't laugh at a jizzing cock......you are doing girls a disservice with your attitude.

MadamCroquette · 27/01/2016 10:24

I don't think the mention of race is out of place - it is this attitude to women's bodies that normalises sexual harassment, assault and ultimately rape.

However it's complicated by the fact that teen girls are also like this about men/boys and to an extent it's silliness arising out of fascination with sex, that they will grow out of. But if I got wind of my son saying or writing something like this I'd be having a long chat with him about objectification of women and how and why this behaviour is upsetting for women. OTOH, it would probably be counterproductive to do that to someone else's teen.

MadamCroquette · 27/01/2016 10:25

Arrgh rape not race. Think I need a coffee.

skankingpiglet · 27/01/2016 10:30

Yes it is objectifying women and is unacceptable despite being 'typical' teen boy stuff. It was never supposed to be seen; does your son know you've found it yet OP?
I think I'd be ramping up the tuition on the treatment of women and quietly putting the note somewhere safe for the meantime. Next time he has his mates around I would very quietly replace a centrally-placed pictured with the now-framed note to be discovered. I'm sure they already know it isn't acceptable, and would hopefully be horrified at being outed particularly so long after the 'offence' when they thought they had gotten away with it. If you're feeling particularly brave and they haven't mentioned it to you (I doubt they would) then you could always bring them some drinks and ask their opinions if "my tits look good in this?" whilst puffing out your chest and shuffling around like you are posing in a mirror. You would be able to heat your home for the night with their red glow... A punishment best served cold, and the best punishment for teens is embarrassment (at least it was for me!) Grin

MistressDeeCee · 27/01/2016 10:34

Teenage boys do stuff like this. Even parents who think their own son wouldn't- they SO would..! Just (rightly) wouldn't let you see it. At that age even pics in a Littlewoods catalogue get them going, much less faced with an attractive older woman. Yes I have drawn a cock pic in my life, much younger days when fantasising how a certain guy's cock would look! All silly stuff but I think being female means thats acceptable, but if a boy does it then its entirely different he is a menace to society. Its the embarassment factor that funny in your situation to me, OP

You're pretty brave posting this tho, mostly it will be about making you feel like shit, and that you have a totally rubbish son. Then no doubt go into a big discussion about feminism, which on MN at times seems to mean humourless, and about being the "right kind" of feminist

I think you'd best put that note right back where you found it. Grin

WanderingTrolley1 · 27/01/2016 10:40

It's disrespectful and I'd fail to see any funny side.

blindsider · 27/01/2016 10:49

Ronniepickering

It'd be up for the next time his friends call round.

I expect that is exactly what he is hoping for you saucy minx!!

kilmuir · 27/01/2016 10:50

Boy banter. you were not meant to see it. put it in the bin

MySordidCakeSecret · 27/01/2016 10:50

ewwww gross

Goingtobeawesome · 27/01/2016 10:50

If my child did this I would seriously checking his DNA. Not funny.

RonniePickering · 27/01/2016 10:51

blindsider Grin Grin

redfox2015 · 27/01/2016 10:53

Of course it's wrong, but that's how boys of that age are. It would be fun to know who it was to see if he could look you in the eye when he is older. IMHO it's harmless

Gruntfuttock · 27/01/2016 10:55

Dowser "he described one of our exalted figures as a rafe and a half"

What does that mean?

Pipistrella · 27/01/2016 10:58

I draw jizzing cocks too, but only on my son's homework when he is getting frustrated with it and we both dissolve into hysterics at anything, just to distract ourselves.

Not stuff we have to hand in, ahem.

Having boys has totally taught me the joy of the rude doodle, HOWVER it's the comment he's put by it that makes me cross.

Boys shouldn't talk to women like that. Men shouldn't, either. It's horrible.

The cock in itself is pretty harmless IMO.

Pipistrella · 27/01/2016 10:58

howver should so be a word

whattodowiththepoo · 27/01/2016 11:04

I don't think the note is funny but I think the fact OP found it is funny.
They also didn't say this to a woman they said it to each other in a way that they thought was private.

No one seemed to be upset or offended about this until it was posted here.

peggyundercrackers · 27/01/2016 11:08

Anyone who thinks teenage boys don't do this kind of thing all the time is dreaming - it's absolutely normal behaviour and will continue until the cows come him no matter what you tell them and try and teach them about not objectifying woman.

For those who think it's disgusting and have their own teenage boys - they are doing similar things with their friends be under no illusion...

peggyundercrackers · 27/01/2016 11:09

Pip the boys DID NOT speak like that to the woman, they thought it and wrote it down.

TannhauserGate · 27/01/2016 11:10

If my son had written that, I would be deeply ashamed, and we would be having long, serious talks about his attitude to others.
Drawing dicks is one thing, this is something else.
And LucilleBluth maybe I misunderstood your post, but are you saying you 5yo DD would recognise a jizzing cock? That's a little disturbing, IMO.

Ambroxide · 27/01/2016 11:14

This is not funny.

RonniePickering · 27/01/2016 11:14

How on earth have you read Lucille's comment like that? Confused

TannhauserGate · 27/01/2016 11:17

'Let's not allude to girls being so innocent they wouldn't laugh at a jizzing cock'

caitlinohara · 27/01/2016 11:18

I don't think it's funny either, but why do people assume that the OP's son finds it funny? Mine would be mortified if one of his friends had done that. I doubt any teenage boy wants to think of their mother as sexually attractive to ANYONE. How you deal with the friend without further embarrassing your son is the tricky bit.

RonniePickering · 27/01/2016 11:19

Bit of a leap to assume she was talking about her 5 year old daughter.

She clearly meant teenage girls.

MackerelOfFact · 27/01/2016 11:20

Really couldn't find it in myself to be offended by that. Just write on the back 'I suggest you see a doctor if your genitals look like that, I'll get in touch with your mum to arrange it. Love from a slightly worried Mrs H' and put it back in his pocket.
