I'm going to share something ugly I made today.

It was an order and customer was specific.

First pic is what she saw and liked and wanted.

2nd pic is pic of what I made for her. Her request not mine.

Please feel free to laugh and snort.

I feel this is only fair. I'm happy to point and laugh at myself.

I can't find this craft group on FB you're all talking about and I need to. What is it's exact name?

Dollymixtureyumyum · 13/02/2016 19:36

It's called Craft craft and more craft. Most of the stuff is really good, one girl makes really gorgeous bracelets. But some of the stuff you do wonder

Bananapanties · 13/02/2016 19:38

Sirius - what are they for? Regarding the pic your client sent - I can't work out what the word is.

I'm not going to laugh and snort but make no apology for laughing at the shite posted on this thread.

Wardy1993 · 13/02/2016 19:41

Lockhart they're right it's certainly not craft - it's fucking daylight robbery!

NerrSnerr · 13/02/2016 19:44

Thank you! Request sent to join.

MagpieCursedTea · 13/02/2016 19:46

Sirius seems a bit harsh to mock your paying customer! Is it a cake topper? I don't think there's anything wrong with some glittery lettering for a cake.
Someone trying to flog an empty wine bottle they've attacked with glitter glue for £15 is funny though.

spongebob5 · 13/02/2016 19:49

Ive already posted this on a thread in chat, but I think it deserves another outingGrin

i got banned from that page :(

Lockheart · 13/02/2016 19:56

What I want to know is who is buying these "hampers"? You could do them yourself for less money. It's not something like jewellery or pictures where you need to invest in specific equipment. But chocolate, bodywash and a bit of cellophane? Anyone can get that during a weekly shop!

gunting · 13/02/2016 19:56

I'm on craft craft and more craft. It really is a case of the good, the bad and the ugly. Somethings are fantastic but there are some shockers. I've just seen a picture someone posted of their dogs sore bits for advice Confused

gunting · 13/02/2016 19:57

If that comment doesn't make sense I've had too many birthday margaritas Wine

MagpieCursedTea · 13/02/2016 20:00

How'd you get banned LEM?

Is it your birthday then gunting? Happy birthday! ThanksWineCake

gunting · 13/02/2016 20:01

Yeah it is. I'm nervous because DP says he got my present from etsy but it isn't here yet. It better not be that bloody pig !!

gunting · 13/02/2016 20:02

Oh and thank you Maggie Grin

SiriusGoLieDown · 13/02/2016 20:02

Customer isn't being mocked. I'm mocking myself for making it. Also. She isn't paying. It's free and I can't bring myself to charge. Wink

It's one of these things that won't ever look fab I don't think. It's not my taste. But it's not a bottle.

Glitter has not had its day. It's here for a while longer.

Lockheart · 13/02/2016 20:07

gunting there is lots of lovely stuff on Etsy! :) I'm wearing a beautiful pair of earrings I got from a shop there last week. But please do post pictures if it is the pig Grin

Wardy1993 · 13/02/2016 20:09

Yes Lockheart they make me particularly angry. eBay is a hotbed for that shit

Lockheart · 13/02/2016 20:15

I mean there must be a market for them Wardy, I'm just mystified as to exactly who this market is. But then my local Co-op is selling a small, HOLLOW chocolate rose on a plastic stick for the frankly extortionate price of £2. There's less chocolate there than you'd get in a treat size bag of buttons (~35p) I estimate. So it's happening on a grand scale too!

Wardy1993 · 13/02/2016 20:19

Lock there's only one thing for it.. We need to out these conning bastards. Is it even legal to buy stuff from tesco other supermarkets are available and then sell it on with a ridiculous mark up? WATCHDOG.

gunting · 13/02/2016 20:20

Lockheart you've given me hope Grin

Lockheart · 13/02/2016 20:26

Wardy I doubt it's illegal. But it is pretty scammy. gunting I will keep my fingers crossed for you! Grin

Wardy1993 · 13/02/2016 20:28

I've found something that I think could be worse than the fucking hampers. A grandma survival kit costs a few quid for what is basically shit you would find down the side of the sofa. WTF. m.ebay.co.uk/itm/Grandma-Great-Grandma-Survival-Kit-Keepsake-Birthday-Gift-Present-Xmas-Gift-/271658778268?nav=SEARCH cAnt post pics im at my limit gutted!!

TheoriginalLEM · 13/02/2016 20:28

maggie - it was from one of the xmas Facebook threads when someone on there noticed domrone (not me) had posted their stuffShock so i think they blocked those they were suspicious of

Woodenmouse · 13/02/2016 20:47
