To decide i won't be friends with people based on their energy

DP would say I am, but in the last yr or so i've become really aware of the energy that people give out.

Some people repel me like the same poles of a magnet. For example NDN from the day i met him I just felt a really bad buzz about him, and i'll be honest i havn't given him any time because i feel due to this we won't be friends (and other reasons)

There's a mum at school who we chat and she's nice all fine, but i know we could never be close friends because she has a different energy.

And then there's some people, in particular one of the dad's at school (before anyone starts this is not an attraction thing!) who has such a calming, positive energy i feel totally comfortable and can quite happily stand near him in comfortable happy silence.

It says in the op multiple times, and it's not judging them more like evaluating if we'd get on well or not. I'm not a superficial person whatsoever, the way someone looks means nothing to me.

I havn't said anything about being psychic, rather i specifically said i would never make predictions/healing etc no i don't think that's real. and as pp have pointed out that is damaging to others.

Cats and dogs can often sense emotions but they can't speak to us.

Sensitive people are more tuned in to picking up a sense of subconscious emotion, thought and intention without even speaking.

It is a protection mechanism built in within nature. Some people are more tuned into it. How it works no one really knows, but it is probably some sort of magnetic energy force as the OP said

I think it is to do with balance, sometimes opposites attract to form a balance and sometimes they repel if there is already enough balance etc.

I get depression and half my family have aspergers so no i'd never discount anyone like that.

I must admit that I usually give self styled "spiritual" people a very wide berth. All that spiritual energy upsets my balance.

Just to say as well i have no connection with or idea about psychics and things like that, so comments about being pyschic are not relevant whatsoever.

But how do you know if someone's energy is negative or if they have aspergers.

DS has aspergers. My friends met ds a few weeks ago for the first time.

I mentioned his aspergers a few days ago and she was a bit shocked. She didn't realise it. Just never come up in conversation. Not something I speak to everyone about.

If you are meeting someone for the first time, you are unlikely to know.

I can only rely on my senses I don't believe and have never experienced anything else so for me your OP just seems crazy.

My mum is like this, too. Always going on about energy and healing and such. I didn't mind at first but now it's taken over her whole life to the point I can't have a conversation with her without being subjected to a half hour long description of a "spiritual experience" she had while meditating or something and how the connections of all the earth are related and every time I have a problem, it's because of something that she's done in the energy field and it totally affected me and some random person she's never met, because we are psychically linked. It's EXHAUSTING.

A few months ago, her friend's dog died, which was sad, I've lost pets, it's horrible, but, two days later, everything was alright because her friend's dog opened up a magical portal in Heaven to allow the animal energy to come and heal the world. Somebody from America told her, so it's definitely true (she meets all of these nutters on Facebook).

And she can't get a job because being around people upsets her energy balance and they don't understand. But then gets upset because she has no money. But then she "just has to trust".

It's stressful.

I don't consider myself spiritual. I was brought up within a subsect of christianity, which i got out of as soon as i could. I'm now an atheist and consider religion to be harmful.

And I think bertie is my dhs sister.

My dad, my brother and possibly my sister now all have aspergers. I am completely at ease with people on the spectrum, other introverts and such.

I find loud, bold, extroverts and people that are superficially charming very hard to understand and be around.

You sound a bit tapped.

What form do you think the energy takes and how are you perceiving it?

Is it light?* Is it heat? Do we have undiscovered sensory receptors in our retinas or skin that can detect this energy?

*This is the right answer, as I believe you are calling visual cues "energy".

Because there is no way in meeting someone, Briefly, that you can tell if they are a negative person or if that negativity is because of Aspergers, depression etc

I'm quite introverted and I often write people off before speaking to them - then I get to know them a bit better and realise what I'd assumed was total twaddle .

I think I do it because I find I initial social interaction hard and it gives me an excuse to stay in my comfort zone and not bother.

You're totally missing the point. YOUR BRAIN is interpreting these subconscious cues about looks, posture, clothing, stance, etc. and telling you that you can "read" their energy. You're not reading their energy. You are developing a bias (longhand for "judging") about whether or not YOU WILL LIKE THESE PEOPLE based on these cues and deciding that makes you speshul reader of all things woo. That's judging, ie "to form an opinion or conclusion about".

No it's not light or heat, that's why i said energy because it's just a sensing thing.

I think that is because Aspergers is noting to do with anything negative or negative energy or negative vibes.

I think you've got a sixth sense, you're lucky to have it, don't worry about it, go with the flow and if others don't get it, iy doesn't matter becuse everyone is different
