To think Adele's song are mostly good and her voice is technically great but

I don't think her voice is anywhere near as amazing as a lot of the 'great' female singers that we've had.

I love some of her songs and am ambivalent about others.

Man! I thought it was just me...her voice is literally painful to hear. I tell people this when I hear her and they think I'm joking.

Her music is awful. Bland, mass market muzak. I agree with others who have said that, technically she does not have a good voice.

Does she actually write her own songs or is it "writing " in the sense of the label pulling in a team of professional song writers who collaborate with her? (i. e any input by her, no matter how minimal, counts as writing)

I'm sure changing one word in some one else's lyric counts as "writing"
