To have realised that I just don't belong here?

Been here for donkeys years but reading recent threads, I realise that:

I don't really care if people pierce their babies or toddlers ears.

Can't get that worked up about male circumcision.

I like Mathew Wright

Am actually quite fond of WH Smiths

I like my in laws

I hate the phrase "wine o' clock"

There was something else also very important but I can't remember it.

Suggestions of suitable new hangouts that meet my superior/ inferior (depending on your viewpoint) tastes are welcome.

It takes many people to make a world what does it matter what you like.

hubert that is a verbal hand grenade you've just tossed into the mix.

rubs hands gleefully and sits back

QuintShhhhhh · 10/11/2015 11:51

I let my 10 year old play with fire.
He is also in charge of lighting fire works here.

I let him make ground fireworks out of cake sparkles.

I also let him make and drink his own tea.

I am surely the biggest pariah here.

I fit right in! Grin

I could be granny to all of you 'gels'

Have learned to skim over the swearing..can even write'Anyfucker' now, whose wit I miss ,and not to be curious about certain practices.

I like to give an opinion,or chat,or a kind word if someone seems sad,but hey, have learnt that sometimes things are not what they seem and are from under bridges.

Have learnt to log in and post, but not the yellow faces yet.

Have been accused of obtuseness , 'racism' and more...oh the sweet irony!

Don't understand name changing...stand by what you think surely? Miss the old names.

All of life is here.

My world is so much bigger and MN has been a 'cope -able' interest through chemo and radium.

Netmums are too nice and I can't get along with Gransnet.

So you see I don't fit here either, but love it all .

PS.The Christmas ham in Coke recipe.....as you would say'LUSH'

Bambambini · 10/11/2015 13:44

JW35 - how long have you been here? The longstanding love affair mumsnet has with MW is infamous - like Anthony and Cleoptra, Heathcliff and Cathy, Rhett and Scarlet and Rodney and Cassandra.

Haha! What's MW? Not long! I came over from netmums. This site was down and the people from here who posted on netmums made me laugh!
I like it that you can swear. I like the brutal honesty of people on here but I think there's quite a lot of snobbery and bitchyness. Funny though!

I'm not middle class but I think a lot on here are. I don't know if I fit in but I like reading more than commenting!
