To ask who you'd choose if you were ordered by royal decree to have a torrid affair?

Risk of being thrown in the Tower/put in the stocks and all that malarkey if you refuse.

Today I think I'd go for Ralph Fiennes. Look how pretty he is. Yes he's all tortured and angsty and probably ponders endlessly on his 'craft' (yawwwn) but he's just so alluring.

No doubt he'd be a tad high maintenance in the long run but for an enforced torrid affair I think he'd do very nicely indeed. Plus he's probably into all manner of eye popping sexual shenanigans. And let's face it, what's the point of a torrid affair without some eye poppery. Am I right?

A bit of time travel would be needed here, but I've adored James Mason for 40 years. I'd settle instead for a younger Gabriel Byrne or Al Pacino from the 70s.

Some of you are going to be tuckered out with these multiple torrid affairs

They won't be threesomes & foursome or umpteenthsomes, squoosh. There'll be downtime after each period of torridity as we wait in line for the next frenetic affair to become available Smile

Hugh Laurie . . . but only in House MD when he is brilliant, cynical, moody and bitter

Benedict Cumberbatch . . . but only in Sherlock when he is brilliant, cynical, moody and bitter

Ian Somerhalder . . . but only in the Vampire Diaries when he is brilliant, cynical, moody and bitter

James Marsters . . . but only in Buffy when he is brilliant, cynical, moody and bitter

SockQueen · 27/10/2015 18:20

Henry Cavill. Possibly in a Tudors tag team with Jonathan Rhys Meyers.

Or Jay McGuinness in Strictly mode, but I suspect there may be a queue.

coffeetasteslikeshit · 27/10/2015 18:20

Oh shit, I've never been in a fight before Coco... how's about we share him, I've never had a threesome either but I could make an exception. And it is supposed to be a torrid affair?!

Andrew Lincoln..but it would have to be a young Andrew Lincoln, (when he has in Love Actually) as he's gone a bit skinny for my liking now. Oh, who am I kidding? He'd blatantly still get it Grin

mrssmith79 · 27/10/2015 18:22

The Rock. I've confirmed my decision with a very vigorous Google image search just to be sure. I'm off for a little walk now.

BlushDH just walked in as I was Google-imaging for suitable illustrations. I think I have to post them now to make the embarrassment worth it.

TimeToMuskUp · 27/10/2015 18:30

Thor, but only if dressed as Thor.

Hawkeye, again, only in pleather.

Tom Hardy, only if he swore often in a cockney sort of accent.

And Cary Grant if we're going down the time-travel route because he was just hot, hot, hotness once upon a time.

fuzzpig · 27/10/2015 18:30

Bertie Carvel. I don't care that he played a cheating bastard :o
