Why?

Just picked up one of the ones I regularly buy and have noticed it now has MEN written upon it.

This has annoyed my two fold

  1. if it's Radox MEN is it only to be used by Men in a bath rather than a man. It will be cramped.

  2. it's bubble bath ..... It doesn't need gender assigning. It never has before. Radox are being twats.

Anyway, I'm in it now. My ovaries haven't fallen out and I've not been arrested by the bath police but

AIBU not to buy Radox again until they stop being silly?

Well a man needs a manly bubble bath doesn't he?

Absolutely!

I use men's deodorant. It's cheaper and on the end of the aisle, so easier to pick up.

There's me being all logical and clear thinking rather than emotional and hormonal. Maybe I am really a man and just didn't know it? Shall I get my doctor to sniff my pits and ask her if I'm male or female?

TheIncomparableDejahThoris · 23/10/2015 16:17

Original Source only do combined shampoo and shower gel for Men, too. It's brilliant for going swimming, when I want to carry as little as possible. Obviously, I buy it anyway and then mutter vicious deprecations about Original Source's insanity under my breath during the shower afterwards.

But it doesn't come in the full range of scents, because it's only aimed at men. Eerily, despite being female, I think the official Man Only scents are perfectly acceptable smells.

Hastagwhatever · 23/10/2015 16:20

I cannot find the green original Radox ANYWHERE I love the smell of it sooooo much I could actually drink the bath water*.

  • I don't drink it though.
MrsJayy · 23/10/2015 16:55

Pound shop had the original i have a bottle

CigarsofthePharoahs · 23/10/2015 16:58

Well I use up all the shower gell dh always gets given at Christmas, as he only ever takes baths with a bit of baby oil in them. Perhaps that's why I've developed a few chin hairs.

suitsyousir79 · 23/10/2015 17:08

I'm a big manly man, with a beard and everything, and I always buy lavender bubble bath, much to DP's amusement! I draw the line at candles tho, whatever they smell of!! Grin

StarkyTheDirewolf · 23/10/2015 17:19

DH (standard manly masculine man type) LOVES a bathbomb from lush. Especially the ones with surprise insides! LOVES a candle (vanilla, lavendar, cinnamon flavour especially).

I put a sparkly bathbomb in the other day, I didn't realise it was quite so full of glitter, DH got in after me, he spent three days looking like he'd fucked a pixie (and had a disco ball nutsack.)

BertieBotts · 23/10/2015 17:22

DH LOVES candles. I literally have to drag him out of the candle aisle whenever we are in a supermarket. He is never happier than when comparing Glade and Fresh or whatever the other brands are.

Kuri I tried tucking a shower gel bottle under my nork today. For mumsnet, you understand. ;)

A nearly empty bottle stayed beautifully, but a full bottle was too heavy.

I need bigger, saggier tits, or a fucking hook on the bottle. Hmm

lorelei9 · 24/10/2015 10:41

I will never see shower gel with a hook in the same way!!

btw who else makes shower gel & shampoo 2 in 1, I like those but can't find them - probably looking in the wrong place!!

SusanIvanova · 24/10/2015 12:49

My favourite radox, black pepper and ginseng, just started having 'men' scrawled across the front. I am actually quite annoyed by it to be honest.

TiggyD · 24/10/2015 14:54

Men's shower gel has hooks on so men can hang it on their knobs. Same as a ring doughnut.

UncertainSmile · 24/10/2015 17:19

This doesn't work

TiggyD · 24/10/2015 19:15

Yes it does Uncertain. You just have to get the right kind of hook for the wang. Try different brands and you'll soon find a hanger for all the todgers that you come into contact with on a daily basis.

TheIncomparableDejahThoris · 24/10/2015 20:57

lorelei9

Try the men's section for 2 in 1 shampoo and shower gel.

Fratelli · 25/10/2015 06:17

I wouldn't lose sleep over it tbh. It's just marketing. Their target market seems to be men. Look at all the products aimed at women.

differentnameforthis · 25/10/2015 08:03

it's bubble bath ..... It doesn't need gender assigning.

Doesn't need it, no....but are you also going to moan about the ones that are gender assigned for women?

Francesa · 25/10/2015 08:10

Don't they do a shampoo and shower type thing for men too, it was "blue" I think.

HoneyDragon · 25/10/2015 08:19

Do people read threads anymore?

Francesa · 25/10/2015 08:25

There is a profound difference between shampoo and bubble bath, but I was just thinking maybe they are just expanding their range for men.
