I can't explain how this happens but my DH will often start singing a song that I've just suddenly thought of in my head. It's often a very obscure type song, definitely not one he's heard recently. It happens immediately after I've thought it. This has also happened with others but much more often with DH. It's like he's picking up my thoughts, itms. Anyone else get similar type things?

"I always say this on these type of threads, the thing that freaks me out the most is when children say things they cannot know - like children knowing the layout of a house or village they have never been to they don't. Every time one of these cases has been investigated it's turned out to be a fraud or when they talk about 'when I lived with my other mummy before I came to live with you' etc. It's called imaginative play. One of mine used to say "When I was an elephant, I used to eat leaves with my trunk." Makes my hair stand up on my neck "

I'm another very in tune with her intuition. I don't really expect others to believe it but I have so many 'unexplained' things I couldn't list them. The most recent though a few weeks ago, my friend gives me a lift to a class we both take, two nights a week. Then I was at work one day, I started checking out the cost of the bus and the route and how long it would take. I had a feeling that I'd need to take the bus soon. then she told me she had a new job and couldn't finish the night course.

F0xglove · 21/10/2015 22:01

When I was 18 a friend of mine was killed in a car crash in spain. This was before internet and instant passing of all news. I didn't know he had died for three days but the night of his death, I heard breathing. I was in my bed and I stopped breathing because I logically thought, hang on, it just sounds like somebody else, but it must be ME, and yet holding my breath I could still hear breathing.

Crazypetlady · 21/10/2015 22:08

My grandfather committed suicide in a house other relatives later lived in. I never knew. it happened before I was born the landing was always dark and felt terrible I hated it and I was only young I later found out it was where he had killed himself.

Justmyluck1 · 21/10/2015 22:09

Bertrand open minded to anything? Don't be silly there obviously was disregarding illegal or dangerous things. Would think that was fairly obvious!

constance as a trained nurse I hope I would know better than to mock other people's genuinely held beliefs. When you work with people who are terminally ill or bereaved you learn to be empathetic, open minded and supportive.

And yes religious people most definatly 'talk' to the dead unless you have seem Jesus and Allah lately walking down the high street.

But then of course they are nuts too who need medication according to you. Strange indeed.

Thanks mellow! :)

Justmyluck1 · 21/10/2015 22:11

Some things are just unexplainable and defy logic, my experience with my dd was just that. There are many here too.

honkinghaddock · 21/10/2015 22:16

We needed ivf to have children and after our first two goes, I had a really vivid feeling that the next cycle wouldn't work but the following one would and we would have a boy born during the summer. That is exactly what happened.

ConstanceMarkYaBitch · 21/10/2015 22:17

They don't defy logic. It's just that you dont apply any. Nothing in this thread defies logic at all.

Its just a way for people to think they are different and special, that they can do something magical that others can't. I'm sure you're all unique and special snowflakes in your own way, but you aren't psychic. No-one is.

As for respecting everyones beliefs and being open-minded, if I told you I could fly, would you respect that and say, wow, thats amazing, well done you! Or would you say (or at least think) don't be so bloody stupid, of course you can't fly? What is the difference between flying and reading minds or talking to the dead?

F0xglove · 21/10/2015 22:19

I don't think I'm different or special.

i think most people have had an experience like this. Tbh though, I couldn't give a fuck if people believe me or not. Maybe you should stay off this thread though Confused

bumbleymummy · 21/10/2015 22:20

Could the fun sponges please just shhhhhhhh. More stories please! Waiting on my reincarnation ones to load :)

MrsBalustradeLanyard · 21/10/2015 22:21

When I was pregnant with DD I had a vision of her, as a toddler. She had on a long party dress, and ran up, said something excitedly, and dashed off again.

That's when I knew what her name would be.

A few years later, we were at a kids party, and she came running up to me. And it was my vision, exactly.

F0xglove · 21/10/2015 22:22

Also, I don't think anybody's claiming to be psychic ''on demand''. Also, I wouldn't say that hearing breathing or knowinng something you can't know, or seeing a 'ghost', I odn't think that's psychic.

Justmyluck1 · 21/10/2015 22:41

different and special no one has used that except you.

'Snowflakes* are beautiful and gentle. Will take that.

Much rather that then mean and superior.

Crazypetlady · 21/10/2015 22:41

I would rather be thought deluded than nasty which is the way you are coming across on this thread "Constance*

More stories please people!

mellowheart · 21/10/2015 22:58

What is the difference between flying and reading minds or talking to the dead?
Well I don't think anyone on here has claimed to be able to talk to the dead, but the difference is obvious. We know people can't fly because it is something that can be seen, we know people can't do that. We are talking here about things that can't be seen, that are illogical. Nobody on here is demanding people believe them, they are talking about their own experiences, I don't think they think they're special in any way either.

Wow really cant some posters just share their experiences, some have been very personal and upsetting, without others jumping on them, trying to discredit them and generally being mean and dismissive?

I heard dds voice call me from another country in another time zone. I heard her. I can't explain it and never will but I heard her call me.

mellowheart · 22/10/2015 00:08

Justmyluck your story is amazing, there is no logical explanation for how that can have happened, but it happened to you. No one has the right to tell you it didn't.

OP posts:
MyNameIsAlexDrake · 22/10/2015 00:17

I've already posted an experience on this thread but I certainly don't think I'm special nor do I claim to be psychic.

That urge, pull, 6th sense, call it what you like, that made me leave my work (very) early that day and go to my family, where I knew I had to be - well, thank fuck for it!

If I ever feel the same again, I will trust my instinct completely (again).

CheesyNachos · 22/10/2015 05:30

I don't think I am special. Maybe there is an explanation in seeing what DS looked like before he was born (and when he was 5) in that he was still a part of me and somehow that tapped into my subconscious. But having the vision of us running the dog over.... I cannot explain that. I was in a half-day- dreaming mode when I said it.... and we had to turn a corner and go on a different road before we actually hit it, so it was not as if I somehow gleaned the dog was there. (It actually shot out of an opened front door and straight onto the road and under our wheels).

CheesyNachos · 22/10/2015 05:32

Incidentally, there have been other things like that when I am sort of day dreaming and then will say something will happen which it does in the next few minutes, but can't think of any other examples right now. The dog was the first big example!

Delusional, perhaps. [shrug] I know what my experiences are, and that is all I can attest to.

Hurr1cane · 22/10/2015 05:44

Something really strange happens to us. DS has severe learning disabilities and can't read or write and his communication is very poor. He is an amazing little boy though. I swear every time I text someone I haven't heard from for ages. Or I get one of them, even if he's at school when it happens, he starts going on about them even though he hasn't mentioned them for months.

Once, my friend was round and received a text. DS instantly said 'joe bloggs!' My friend was Shock because the text he received was from Joe bloggs (a man I had never met and didn't know existed)

To be honest I don't think he's psychic. I think he picks up on minute changes in mood or atmosphere and remembers those feelings being associated with people. Or in the case of my friend.. He MUST have mouthed the name to himself or something when he received the text.
