To ask if anyone else has unexplained "physic" moments

I can't explain how this happens but my DH will often start singing a song that I've just suddenly thought of in my head. It's often a very obscure type song, definitely not one he's heard recently. It happens immediately after I've thought it. This has also happened with others but much more often with DH. It's like he's picking up my thoughts, itms. Anyone else get similar type things?

I was thinking a tune yesterday and then DH started humming it...I was all Hey! that's just what I was thinking...and he pointed out he had been humming it on and off for the last hour....

So I didn't consciously register that he had been humming it already and hence thought my thinking of the song preceded his humming when in reality I was copying him!

Not psychic exactly but do get strange mental "visitations" during light sleep phases - strange (as in not recognisable to me) people appear to me very clearly, rushing right up to my face in my "dream"

These are called hypnagogic images and can be easily explained.

Me and DH are the ABSOLUTE BOMB at pictionary and have been banned from playing on the same team by friends and family alike.

We are so good at it because we both use the same decision making process on what to draw and in what way. We think alike so we don't need telepathy to know what the other is thinking! Computers use this kind of 'twin thinking' as an algorithm for encoding text more efficiently...no telepathy involved.

Just marking again because I like reading the stories ... :)

Often. The 'gift' runs in our family.

I've had a few but one that stands out, I was reading a book about 20 years ago which said something like 'there's no such thing as coincidence, god is behind everything' and I said to myself and 'whoever', 'If there's no such thing as coincidence and God exist's show me a shooting star', I swear I looked out and saw one that second! Bit weird!

A few months ago I had a strange intuition that another thread would pop up on mumsnet full of credulous people who don't understand how confirmation bias works

bumbleymummy · 30/10/2015 08:48

Wow. I had a premonition that when I came back on the thread someone would have come on to make a smart arse patronising comment Wink
