I won't mention names but some of them seem to be popular for....not a lot really. Certain people come to mind who have a reputation for being straight talking and funny but most of the time I don't see it. I find them rather disagreeable tbh. Is it just me?

I knew DH was a keeper when he made a trip to the shop after work simply to get sweets in case we had any T or Ting children (before we even had DC iirc)

PurpleHairAndPearls · 09/10/2015 17:21

I should clarify that was actually on Halloween, not just a random day in the year Smile

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 09/10/2015 18:13

Wow just look at all of you, sight for sore eyes the lot of you.

Too much RL and I missed most of a fun thread.

Being Canadian I am mostly genetically predispositioned to be nice to everyone Grin and don't really post enough to be one of the Popular Girls so I will just sit here quietly and drink my gin.

Fiderer · 09/10/2015 18:23

Hearts - I like reading your posts. Are you always in that there nice Canada?

why would being bored be rude?

Hullygully · 09/10/2015 18:32

I have the fidgets. I hate autumn and winter. Everyone in their own little box, watching their own little box in the dark.

Dd is in her las t year at school. I will not be wintering in this country ever again ever ever ever

Oh I see, can't help there. 99% is dull nowadays

MrsKoala · 09/10/2015 18:35

Maryz - i am sorry about your cat. That sounds so horrible. When i had my beloved cat it was my fear to find him in the road hit by a car. So much so that one day after work i was walking home and saw a black blob in the road (he was a black blob too) so i ran towards it quite hysterically shouting 'facey facey' and crying, only to find it was a squashed bin bag. Blush Should've gone to specsavers i suppose.

Anyway, i am very sorry for your moggy loss. :(

Evening everyone. The current thread buffet is unappealing. Equivalent of sandwiches that are as dry as old arseholes and value crisps. Sad

I saw a great recipe for jelly worms on facebook yesterday. I'm going to scare the little t & t'ing critters with a bucketful of those.

I hope think my two won't be interested in going out this year.

Fiderer · 09/10/2015 18:40

Autumn & winter are even more gloomy when people put the following in/on their doorsteps:

  • pumpkins
  • squash - various sorts, they're all alike, orangey and less orangey, bulbous, less bulbous
  • heather, pots of
  • mutant witchey figures

As if it getting dark for ever weren't bad enough.

FattyNinjaOwl · 09/10/2015 18:42

mintyy share recipe?
I'm going to make spider cakes with my terrors. Rice krispie/corn flake cakes. Strawberry laces dipped in chocolate as legs, and mini marshmallows with black icing dots as eyes. So simple but they love them.

ginslinger · 09/10/2015 18:44

When we were in Germany if you didn't have a pumpkin on your doorstep in Autumn then they called the police

Fids! you are vair kind.

I supposedly live in London with DH and the DDs but honestly I have spent so much time in Canada in the last few months I am beginning to wonder if my life here isn't a figment of the old imagination Grin

TiggyD · 09/10/2015 19:04

Anybody care to do a "Popular posters on here are often rude" thread 2?

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 09/10/2015 19:05

Hully where the fuck have you been?

Get someone to organise a meet up. People always do what you say. Go on.
