To think that it's odd that the royal family just brush this under the carpet?

Tbh I don't give much of a shiny shite about the royals generally, but saw Prince Harry on TV this morning and I've been thinking about him today with regards to his questionable parentage. I say questionable but anyone with a pair of eyes can see that he's James Hewitt's son - he's the absolute spitting image of him. Also he looks nothing like Charles or William.

Obviously this has been raised by the tabloids before, but I find it a bit weird that the whole thing is flatly denied by anybody involved even though the truth is staring everyone right in the face.

It raises some interesting questions: surely Harry has a right to know who his father is? If it transpired he was not Charles' son then would he still be a true part of the Royal Family? Would he still be 2nd in line to the throne? It's a right can of worms.

Tapirbackrider · 07/09/2015 21:20

Some trolls people will stir up any old shite to cause a reaction...

BoreOfWhabylon · 07/09/2015 21:20

Harry and cousin

To think that it's odd that the royal family just brush this under the carpet?
Bakeoffcake · 07/09/2015 21:21

Who cares?

But Harry is the image of Phillip and Charles but with red hair.

Dd1 looks absolutely nothing like me, maybe she's not mineHmm

NoelHeadbands · 07/09/2015 21:21

He's the absolute spit of Prince Philip- I don't see any resemblance to Hewitt whatsoever

Moln · 07/09/2015 21:21

I think it's more likely he's Hewitt and Spencer's son.

Though with more if his Daddy Spencer look about him.

Bakeoffcake · 07/09/2015 21:22

Oh gosh, he is the image of his aunts- same nose, chin, eyes, if enever Sen those photos before.

Cloppysow · 07/09/2015 21:23

I couldn't be less interested in the royal family if i tried, however i have always thought Harry is like Dianas brother and more like his dad as he gets older. His dad being charles obviously.

Cringe OP.

He has a whiff of Phil the Greek in the face, definitely got his dad's family look.

It's only the red hair that makes some think there's a connection, nothing else.

Aeroflotgirl · 07/09/2015 21:24

Exactly he has the hair and looks of a Spencer, he looks like Diana's sisters.

BlahBlahUsername · 07/09/2015 21:24

I like these conspiracy theories as much as anyone (and there is a good one about Andrew) but he looks like a mix of Charles Spencer - has the Spencer red hair - and a young Prince Philip, with a dash of Charles.

If Harry had had brown hair, no-one would be making snarky remarks about Hewitt.

SaucyJack · 07/09/2015 21:25

That pic of Diana and her sister looks like Wills and Harry in drag.

He's definitely a Spencer.

WhoTheFuckIsSimon · 07/09/2015 21:26

Grin. At the Michael Jackson comment, that was a joke wasn't it?

specialsubject · 07/09/2015 21:26

conspiracy theories may be fun but that doesn't mean they are anything other than bollocks.

oh, and man really did walk on the moon.

StormCoat · 07/09/2015 21:26

Christ, the monarchy by its very existence in 2015 is a scandal, and you're worried about the paternity of one of its most pointless young offshoots?

Anyway, a blind man could see Harry looks like that vaguely ruddy, alcoholic-looking Spencer who spoke at Diana's funeral.

Bakeoffcake · 07/09/2015 21:29

I agree OP.
he's the image of James Hewitt. he is of course, his son. nonetheless, the royal family will tough out the rumours and the allegations till the bitter end.
its not the first time something like this has happened (Queen mother, i'm looking at you) and it won't be the last.
stiff upper lip and all of that.
handy that diana was murdered died to quell some of the rumours.

BravingSpring · 07/09/2015 21:31

It's an absolute load of shit, apart from the fact that he's the image of his mothers side of the family crossed with his father and grandfather, there's no way Diana would have allowed such a thing to have happened.

BoskyCat · 07/09/2015 21:35

Ach all aristos are basically related anyway probably

The thing is royals throughout history have had affairs and illegitimate children and just denied it and carried on. So it's hardly surprising that people still chatter about it and speculate, and the royals still deny it. He might be, he might not be (I don't have an opinion myself, he looks like Hewitt, he also looks like various other relatives) but of course they aren't going to go on Jeremy Kyle for a public DNA test.

It really doesn't matter either way. If he were to become king and didn't actually have the right lineage, he'd just be like plenty of other monarchs.

glampinggaloshes · 07/09/2015 21:35

notwithstanding the tawdry nature of your post, you are aibu and extremely offensive to state such narrow view of family and of parenthood.

Irrespective of your view of this person's 'father', a father is someone who raises and loves a child. Period.

CalmYourselfTubbs · 07/09/2015 21:36

There's no way Diana would have allowed such a thing to have happened.
that's hilarious.

CalmYourselfTubbs · 07/09/2015 21:37

why is the OP tawdry to ask questions glamping?
