To think that it's odd that the royal family just brush this under the carpet?

Tbh I don't give much of a shiny shite about the royals generally, but saw Prince Harry on TV this morning and I've been thinking about him today with regards to his questionable parentage. I say questionable but anyone with a pair of eyes can see that he's James Hewitt's son - he's the absolute spitting image of him. Also he looks nothing like Charles or William.

Obviously this has been raised by the tabloids before, but I find it a bit weird that the whole thing is flatly denied by anybody involved even though the truth is staring everyone right in the face.

It raises some interesting questions: surely Harry has a right to know who his father is? If it transpired he was not Charles' son then would he still be a true part of the Royal Family? Would he still be 2nd in line to the throne? It's a right can of worms.

Shiny Dave is Harry's dad? He could be Harry Enfields dad, and therefore Harry Not Going to be King's granddad.

No wonder they keep it quite!!! Not sure what Ed has to say about all if this.

katemiddletonsothermum · 07/09/2015 23:00

I don't think he has long left in this world. It will be a sad day. He's had quite and extraordinary life.

ilovechristmas123 · 07/09/2015 23:02

if he was hewitts surely hewitt would be the first to advertise the fact

Moln · 07/09/2015 23:04

Harry hasn't long left. Eh! Well maybe if he has a game of billiard with Death a la Bill & Ted.

katemiddletonsothermum · 07/09/2015 23:05

No no no, I meant Phil the Greek, not Harry. Although moln - don't tell Ed about Ron. Because, I mean, there's yet ANOTHER Harry.....

I think we are going to need a ven diagram.

This is getting complicated.

WhataRacquet · 07/09/2015 23:08

Mystery solved.

To think that it's odd that the royal family just brush this under the carpet?
Cherryblossomsinspring · 07/09/2015 23:09

Why on earth do you think it's odd (true or otherwise) that they would brush it under the carpet. That's what families usually do with painful secrets. YABU.

OMFG.

Is this why Mick never got his knighthood?

Mintyy · 07/09/2015 23:17

Hmm can't exchange a couple of posts on whether Lily Allen might have taken drugs, but it's perfectly ok for this op and a few of other deluded posters to speculate on a person's parentage on Mumsnet?

And more individual posts have been deleted from this thread than were on Reality's thread about her name the other night, yet the whole still stands.

Double standards or what Mumsnet?

enthusiasmcurbed · 07/09/2015 23:21

My Mum had a life long crush on Prince Phillip. I didn't understand it at first. But then I saw his pics as a young man. Jesus, he was gorgeous!

LoisWilkersonsLastNerve · 07/09/2015 23:22
Hmm

Libel? Is that the word?

You lot have it so wrong, seriously.

To think that it's odd that the royal family just brush this under the carpet?
katemiddletonsothermum · 07/09/2015 23:27

Who, boffin - the man or the puppet?

BoffinMum · 07/09/2015 23:28

My lips are sealed.

TendonQueen · 07/09/2015 23:31

It's been said plenty but once more: he looks very much like Charles and Philip. If you looked at black and white photos and thus took the red hair out of the equation it'd be even more obvious. Plus Diana hadn't met Hewitt at that point?

thenumberseven · 07/09/2015 23:37

My husband and I are Spanish. My children were born in Australia where I grew up. A stupid stupid doctor actually said to me that my youngest son could not be my husband's as was blond. Funny thing is he'd never seen my husband whose nephews are all blond and husband was blond as a baby.
I'm dark haired, with blue eyes and my siblings and I were blond babies.
In Australia was asked all the time if I was Irish, even Irish people used to ask.
Doctor (stupid, opinionated bastard) decided because I'm Spanish (very light skin, blue eyes)and my husband also Spanish (very fair skin, brown eyes) could not have a blond baby. Almost all children on both sides are blond and some very fair skin, red haired and freckels.
My youngest son is now a 30 year old Australian soldier but I'm still bothered by the thoughtless comment of that ignorant doctor.
He actually said to me (laughinly) that I must have cheated on my husband.
He was a very young man so not as if some old foggey with old fashioned ideas.
I felt sick and have never forgotten.

UrbaneFox · 07/09/2015 23:39

he's the image of prince charles imo

katemiddletonsothermum · 07/09/2015 23:44

Nooooooo = I have used up all my images. I am going to have to start another thread on this.....

Geekmama · 07/09/2015 23:51

He's not second in line, he's fifth And of course he is Prince Charles's son. What a ridiculous Fred. Confused

HarrietSchulenberg · 07/09/2015 23:57

They all look like useless fuckwits whatever their parentage. That's because they actually are useless fuckwits.

LoisWilkersonsLastNerve · 07/09/2015 23:59
