To think that it's odd that the royal family just brush this under the carpet?

Tbh I don't give much of a shiny shite about the royals generally, but saw Prince Harry on TV this morning and I've been thinking about him today with regards to his questionable parentage. I say questionable but anyone with a pair of eyes can see that he's James Hewitt's son - he's the absolute spitting image of him. Also he looks nothing like Charles or William.

Obviously this has been raised by the tabloids before, but I find it a bit weird that the whole thing is flatly denied by anybody involved even though the truth is staring everyone right in the face.

It raises some interesting questions: surely Harry has a right to know who his father is? If it transpired he was not Charles' son then would he still be a true part of the Royal Family? Would he still be 2nd in line to the throne? It's a right can of worms.

It's a right can of worms.

No, it isn't. It's a total irrelevance to anyone except him, unless you'd like to claim that my adopted child shouldn't inherit my estate when I died? Hmm

Frizzcat · 07/09/2015 21:05

I think he looks like Prince Phillip when he was young. he doesn't look like James Hewitt.

SirVixofVixHall · 07/09/2015 21:05

I think he is a lot like Charles and Philip, and very like his mother's sister who also has red hair. I think this a just a red-head thing, there wouldn't be the rumours if he was brunette or blonde.

IgnoreMeEveryOtherReindeerDoes · 07/09/2015 21:06

Brush it under the carpet because it's complete bollocks

Capewrath · 07/09/2015 21:06

Same as the biscuits..

Littlefluffyclouds81 · 07/09/2015 21:06

He does bear a striking resemblance to Hewitt though?

He is the double of Philip! Load of tosh.

MissFitt68 · 07/09/2015 21:07

God I really want a chocolate 'viscount' biscuit now cape Grin

AdoraBell · 07/09/2015 21:07

He is also the spitting image of his uncle, his mother's brother, the Earl of Spencer.

SirVixofVixHall · 07/09/2015 21:07

AnyFucker · 07/09/2015 21:08

all those upper class toffs look the same anyways

I can't tell 'em apart

cuntycowfacemonkey · 07/09/2015 21:08

Yes why on earth wouldn't the royal family make public statements such things? You're not Jeremy Kyle are you OP?

Anyway he's not 2nd in line for the throne you muppet and he looks nothing like James Hewitt who is quite possibly THE ugliest mad to roam the earth.

BishopBrennansArse · 07/09/2015 21:08

He's got Philip's eyes.

Two of his mother's siblings were redheads.

James Hewitt dint show in his mother's life until he was a toddler.

SirVixofVixHall · 07/09/2015 21:09

And here. Harry is like a mix of her and Charles. i.telegraph.co.uk/multimedia/archive/01600/McCorquodale_1600513c.jpg

DirtyMugPolice · 07/09/2015 21:09

Genetics are odd - just Google Michael Jackson's children. Stunning bunch - but you'd never think their dad was black.

PetraDelphiki · 07/09/2015 21:09

Although I don't for a minute think Harry is Hewitt's son (or anyone other than Charles), you do wonder if/when the Royals had DNA testing done? Or is it a case of what you don't know can't hurt you?

And then you wonder if they did do it, what would they have done if they had discovered that he wasn't Charles's?

MythicalKings · 07/09/2015 21:11

Back under the bridge you go, fluffy.

Redcrayons · 07/09/2015 21:12

You find it weird really?

SinglePringle · 07/09/2015 21:15

Gosh, he really is the spit of his Aunt, Diana's sister, isn't he SirVix?!

CandOdad · 07/09/2015 21:15

All royals at birth have dna tests etc. mainly to stop muppetry like this.

Fluffyears · 07/09/2015 21:16

I believe legally it does not matter who the biological father is as Diana and Charles were married. This makes Harry a 'product of marriage' so in the eyes of the law he is Charles' son. DNA means nothing as a legal marriage trumps that.

Aeroflotgirl · 07/09/2015 21:18

Yabvvvu he looks like a Spencer, with his red hair and General looks.

maddy68 · 07/09/2015 21:18

He's the image of a young prince Phillip.
He's also git the red hair from Diana's side. Rediculous speculation

BoreOfWhabylon · 07/09/2015 21:19

Diana's sisters.

CarpetBagger · 07/09/2015 21:20

when I saw this thread title I wondered which brushing under the carpet you were referring too, their German Heritage, Philips sexual adventures, Mountbatton's alleged pedophilia, Andrews exploits, the alleged plot to kill Diana, but OH you meant Harry's parentage.

I can see why people may think he looks like Hewitt but he looks far more like charles and philip more than william does.

But in general - brushing things under the carpet is what the RF does.
