How cold are you?

8 am cold.

I am currently wearing..

Socks. Slippers. Leggings. Dress. Jumper. Crocheted blanket.

I suspect I have that thing where your fingers and toes go white and numb and tingly. Or frostbite.

The rule is that the heating can only go on in October. I may be frozen solud and dead by then.

Might change my name to Ötzi.

I've had the woodburner lit the last few nights. The wind is proper cold - smells like snow.

JeffsanArsehole · 05/09/2015 20:26

Hertfordshire. Got the windows open, still quite warm.

HookedOnHooking · 05/09/2015 20:27

Hmmm. A vest. That's what I need.

Oh fuck. I've just turned into my Grandmother.

Sun was splitting the pavements here today, sat in front of the window it was too hot so we went out in the garden. I am now Sitting in a t-shirt and a pair of shorts but have socks on. We are ne coast of Scotland - it's not cold here at all. some friends come round earlier and they were all in t-shirts this afternoon too. Tomorrow is meant to be warmer than today.

mewkins · 05/09/2015 20:28

I am chilly but can't bring myself to turn the heating on.

LoadsaBlusher · 05/09/2015 20:30

I'm quite cold.
I'm in bed with my pyjamas on , duvet cover tucked in all around me.
Currently contemplating whether to put socks on too.
It was chilly this morning when I got up for work too , the first signs of windscreen mist/ frost ...

I have had my heating on most mornings this week

mumeeee · 05/09/2015 20:32

Not cold here. Wearing jeans T shirt and a jumper now although didn't put a jumper on until this evening.

BathshebaDarkstone · 05/09/2015 20:33

Fucking freezing! I've got a jumper, denim shirt, t-shirt, jeans and Doc Martens on. We haven't got the heating on yet because DH would complain. I might get another jumper. Sad

Kimbomc · 05/09/2015 20:34

Sorry hun but I'm very warm.

Sat in front of wood burner eating home made natural mango sorbet.

I'd really recommend a wood burner to anyone cold!

Marmite27 · 05/09/2015 20:35

No socks, thin pj bottoms and one of DH's long sleeved tshirts. Which I stole because mine don't fit because I'm 8 months pregnant.

Himself is in the garden in a tshirt and trackies, I think he has socks on though! We're in West Yorkshire, and it's not cold IMO.

farfrom those ^^ are similar to mine. Wonderful.

I think I'd rather take the hot flushes, every time I touch or hug my DC at the moment they flinch and yelp "your hands!!!!" Mind you some are teens so flinching and yelping is probably to be expected Smile

peggyundercrackers · 05/09/2015 20:38

In bed I've got to have a least one leg out the duvet because it's too hot, dd has only had shorts on as pj bottoms for a few weeks now as she has been too hot in bed too. Thermometer says the house is 19deg. Without the heating on.

SiencynArsecandle · 05/09/2015 20:40

In shorts and t shirt here, no heating on, windows open. I do however have my own central heating going on atm thanks to the menopause!

HookedOnHooking · 05/09/2015 20:42

The Wine has kicked in a bit and I am now less cold. Except my nose. My nose is still chilly.

TheCatsMother99 · 05/09/2015 20:42

I was cold earlier so put the heating on for a couple of hours just to take the chill off

Kryten2X4B523P · 05/09/2015 20:44

I am always cold. My slippers only went away for about 2 weeks in 'summer' this year and I often wear 4/5 layers in winter. No heating here yet, I'm too tight. I can still fit more clothes on yet.

The only time I was a hot person was when I was pregnant with my daughter, who is still a very hot person. It was like being pregnant with a hot water bottle Grin

Nonnainglese · 05/09/2015 20:45

Fleece, long sleeved tee shirt, jeans, fleecy socks and put summer clothes away and 9 tog duvet on the bed today Sad

I hate the cold and dread winter.

HookedOnHooking · 05/09/2015 20:45

Crochet. On top of crochet
And slippers.

nicknameidea · 05/09/2015 20:46

Freezing cold here in Gloucestershire. But this house leaks heat and the radiators are crap and old. Raynauds runs in my family but I've never been diagnosed.

Every winter I wish someone would invent a nose warmer. Mine goes like ice. Sad

Alconleigh · 05/09/2015 20:48

Quite cold here in london. The heating is NOT going on though. It's September, it's too early. #wipesnumbnose

nicknameidea · 05/09/2015 20:50

And I wonder if we have a hard winter on the way. My cats are eating like its going out of fashion (which they do when bulking up for the cold) and my mum's cat is doing the same. Unless they're being typical cats and having us on. Wink

Soundsystem · 05/09/2015 20:51

nicknameidea nose warmers exist! I kept saying I wished they did and a few years ago DH got me one! I'll have a look for a link

Kryten2X4B523P · 05/09/2015 20:53

I want to learn to crochet. I started turning into my Gran a few years ago though, I haven't far to go.

janethegirl2 · 05/09/2015 20:56

not cold. Wearing jeans n t shirt, still got 4.5tog duvet on, no central heating and doors opened during the day. It's not cold yet!

Annapurnacircuit · 05/09/2015 21:00

Very cold and I loathe it. Heating is on, electric blanket deployed and logs are stacked! Home counties but it is so unseasonably cold Sad.
