To think that this is disgusting and offensive?

I like little signs and words around the home. I have quite a few, made from nicely decorated wooden letters ('soak' in the living room, 'relax' in the guest bedroom, kids names on their windowsills etc).

I went to a friends house today. She has a new sign too.
It's wooden letters above her loo spelling out a vulgar term for urine. She thought it was hilarious. I not so.

Am I boring or is it offensive? What would you think?

I just can't see the need for all the stress OP. Piss is just a word. Whilst I don't do the words thing myself, if I saw that I might smile.

I spelled out CUNT and BOLLOCKS with Alphabeti Spaghetti and was so offended that I threw my plate out of the window. You should do the same with her loo.

I don't mind the ones that say 'welcome' in a hallway but the rest are irritating. I would have a 'piss' one in the bathroom too! Then again, I'm vulgar.

Thank you to all the people who seem point of view. It's nice to see that I'm not being totally 'unreasonable' Hmm

I've decided I'm going to give her a gift of some of my découpage letters with a slightly more appropriate word. I don't want to upset or embarrass her by pointing out how it looks, but this way she has the choice, and hopefully she'll make the right one!

Thank you again to those who agreed - it's nice to know it's not only me!

Its her home, you have absolutely no right to pass any comment on her choice of decor and as for "she has a choice and hopefully she'll make the right one...." I hope she does to, by choosing to dump your sorry ass as a friend. I wouldnt want someone so two faced and bitchy in my life.
