I'd like to know who the moderators are.

OP posts:
MaudGonneMad · 20/08/2015 13:10

Yeah I sniggered at that too. George Orwell, Jonathan Swift and 20somethingmum.

the20somethingmum · 20/08/2015 13:12

My point exactly, Stephanie, thank you for proving me right again about the childish nastiness for pointing out MN is flawed.

And again, bit different when someone chooses a NN to stir trouble for someone else. Perhaps since you are so anti blogger on here it hurts, the person who did it was a blogger too! Maybe now that will mean you change tack and slate them?

the20somethingmum · 20/08/2015 13:13

They joined before me. They used the20Sometingmum instead.

YellowTulips · 20/08/2015 13:16

Sorry but this doesn't make any sense.

You had a MN name that someone else "stole"?

Surely that can only have happened if you had given up that name (NC perhaps?) and someone else had registered with it.

StephanieBeacham · 20/08/2015 13:18

And thank you for proving my point that you cannot put forward a clear argument.

I genuinely have no idea what your last post means.

StephanieBeacham · 20/08/2015 13:20

MN is flawed. I've already agreed about that.

I'm merely commenting on your writing ability.

MaudGonneMad · 20/08/2015 13:22

She thinks you dislike all blogs and are therefore being a big fat meanie about hers, Stephanie.

Whereas I suspect you just dislike poorly-written ones...

YellowTulips · 20/08/2015 13:23

I think it means that before 20 joined MN someone else registered on the site using that name.

She feels that as she had used that name on other sites/blogs etc she had a right to it and feels MNHQ should have shut down the "other" user and given her the MN name.

StephanieBeacham · 20/08/2015 13:25

Yes, Maud! I do only dislike poorly written ones.

I would not normally criticise someone's blog for no reason. I'm more polite than that but given the content of yours I felt moved to - and the fact you call yourself a 'social commentator' makes it doubly embarrassing.

Do you mean that someone used a name so similar to yours as to be indistinguishable to the casual observer?

howtorebuild · 20/08/2015 13:26

I have seen pure beauty and nasty evil on here. Threads go wrong for an op and many pile on or they go well and receive great kindness.

It isn't really mnhq at fault it's the wannabes reallly at fault.

the20somethingmum · 20/08/2015 13:26

Again, I was not a member at the time. I had no wish to be. The person used my blog name at that time, minus a H to cause issue. They were discovered by other bloggers after a bunch of regular posters took issue to the blogger responsible for the Typecast blog coming and sarcastically introducing herself.

I'm quite clear in what I've written. I've answered your points. Continue being nasty, please do.

20somethingmum - re "I gave my views on the hack. I used my experience to back up why I thought it was possibly down to the behavior of some members."

You might have a point. Just like raped women bring it on to themselves because they wear mini skirts.

Oh wait... No, they don't.

So it wasn't actually your blog name - just similar....Confused

LazyLohan · 20/08/2015 13:31

No offence, but considering this is a parenting site for women there are going to be quite a few women on here who identify themselves as a 20 something mum or variations of the same.

I had an encounter with a poster who had posted longer than me who objected to me using a syllable which was my real name in my nn because she thought she owned it by virtue of being a longer term poster. I, and several other posters, told her to fuck off and wind her neck in and she did.

There was a post last week from someone whinging that a popular username deriving from the Friends show was being used by someone else which was very similar to her own. She was also told she WBU.

The username I have at the moment, shortly after registering it I realised it was almost the same as another posters. I asked her if she was okay with that, she was and it was fine.

It's just a non-issue really, it's certainly not something that MN would be justified in giving another posters details out about.

I change my name all the time, I've had massive fucking rows with people and decide I don't want things follow me about so I change.

It's only the fucking internet. It's not important, it doesn't matter. TBH it's probably only done you good by sending traffic the way of your blog.

Seriously, it's the internet. Nobody fucking cares. It's full of loons, nutters, oddities and psychopaths and as soon as you start caring about it you are one too!

Dawndonnaagain · 20/08/2015 13:33

Do you not see how mental you all sound?

Theres a good miserable nutter.

Quotes from the other thread.

I hope you have learnt and don't use these terms now.

YouTheCat · 20/08/2015 13:34

I don't like Netmums. I'm not a fan of Bounty. Tried them both a good few years ago. But I've never felt the need to tell them where they were going wrong. Hmm

Life is too short. Move on.

the20somethingmum · 20/08/2015 13:34

I did not expect MNHQ to give me the name purely as I felt it was mine. I wanted their support to remove a blatant troublemaker who was deliberately and knowingly causing me trouble on the net, not just here. They had hacked my twitter and other sites and caused no end of issue and nastiness. She used my NN, my real name and linked to my blog on the profile she set up here.

I hate bullying. I hate people who seek to make people's lives miserable on the net in any form.

But I'm sure as it was me suffering abuse in the same way as MN has, its fine by you guys, right?

You know what, I do not know why I even furnish you with an answer when I constantly have to repeat myself.

You spin things whatever way you like so as MN and the few nasty trolls who cause trouble and stir up ill feeling come off as innocent.

And yet I'm unintelligent and lazy?

YellowTulips · 20/08/2015 13:34

If anyone resisters as YellowTulip I'm going to have a fucking meltdown...it's mine all mine Wink

I can see how someone using a similar name to yours in order to take the piss is bullying. I can totally see that.

Still can't understand your other post but never mind.

I stand by what I have said about MN. If you came off badly that time it may well have been due to miscommunication and misunderstanding by MN of the issue at hand.

I really don't think they are sitting there saying 'Oh she's a single mother, what a loser, let's back up our old friends and stuff her completely'.

You behaved horribly on the linked thread. Other people did too by the look of it. But it doesn't mean MN is evil and deserves to be attacked.

It means there may have been a cock up, and you're holding a really bloody huge grudge some years later, and that is kind of your problem.

the20somethingmum · 20/08/2015 13:41

I'm sure my having a different ip address to the other person would make it rather more believable.

And I'm not blaming MNHQ for the person doing what they did, I just didn't appreciate that, in that situation, they offered no help at all, they simply didn't care less, and have, despite me telling them I was aware who it was have backed this lady up when she was one of the main voices on the Bounty Mutiny.
