URGENT: New data leak

KitKat1985 · 19/08/2015 21:08

New data has just been leaked on the DadSec page - all the Mumsnet partner companies.

This is a huge breach and must have come from within your server as this wouldn't have just been phished.

KitKat1985 · 19/08/2015 21:12

I may well be being thick, but why is it a data leak? Aren't all company details publicly available?

The Dadsec page on Twitter has been deleted.

ProcrastinatorGeneral · 19/08/2015 21:15

Why are they targeting MN? Has that been ascertained yet?

Pffft you only have to spend 5 mins on the homepage to identify most of the companies Mumsnet works with.

A more exciting list would be who they haven't worked with. The rich, successful, money-grabbing gets Grin

That is a lot of partner companies!

Mumsnet, you must be earning a lot of revenue from sharing our data. How about reinvesting some of it in better security?

I wasn't convinced my account was compromised earlier due to phishing, now I'm even less convinced.

Oh. Cross posted with lots of people.

Where is the Dadsec page? I've seen references to Twitter etc but can't find the links. Could PM me them I'd appreciate it. I want to know if my username and password was one of the ones mentioned.

KitKat1985 · 19/08/2015 21:20

I have posted the link to their page above.

It's @dad_sec but don't follow him, you'll just make him worse.

There's a thread called Am I on the list? That has the list in alphabetical order.

PuckyMup · 19/08/2015 21:21

Stupid Q but is clicking the link to that page safe? I've done it twice but now wondering if thats putting me open to problems?
