Yeah, Washington DC. It was about 15 yrs ago, the black women were very hostile towards me and there was a riot outside our hotel. It may have changed but didn't feel safe there.

Best Maldives, Dubai, Kenya
Worst Bal. hassled the minute we set foot out of the hotel, couldn't go on the beach for the same reason and everywhere we went to see was surrounded by tat being sold by quite aggressive folk. Such a shame

Best: Italy- super chilled, don't bat an eyelid people & Germany- far more laid back, charming friendly people than any stereotypes would have you believe and they just love Brits and all things English. Perfect for cosy winter travel and great weather- lounging by huge Olympic size open air swimming pools in parks in summer.

My favourite countries are Italy and and Thailand. Thailand away from the tourist spots it is absolutely beautiful and the people are lovely but parts of Bangkok and other tourist spots are terribly seedy

Sri Lanka is amazing outside Colombo which is the most uninteresting city I have been to

every country i have been to has something good about it. I love Southern Vietnam but the north was so different and gloomy apart fro Halong bay. Not keen on Dubai beautiful hotels nice beaches and great restaurant and bars shopping malls if that's what you want on a holiday but seeing how migrant workers are worked like slaves was depressing against the excess of such lavish wealth. Also disappointed with much of Goa Kerala is far nicer.

Cuba is beautiful the people are lovely and vibrant but there was an underlying feeling of despair and no hope

I never used to like LA I always felt lost there (family there so spent lots if time there) but now love it. It took me some time to love the place and you do need to be with someone who knows LA to see the best of the city. California on the whole is a wonderful place to visit

Sorry didn't really a see you question ...

I went alone to Cuba yes I was hassled a lot but not in an aggressive way just irritating. India the men are just very very annoying thankfully not alone all the time. Felt very safe in Thailand alone you are left alone not so much on Vietnam and LA is fine but public transporting is rubbish for a city. Of course there are places I would avoid in LA but you are not going to accidentally wonder into those areas. Venice beach the atmosphere is very different in the evening I would avoid it then

My poor impression of Ireland was not helped by the fact we were treated with an attitude bordering on contempt in many pubs and restaurants, only to witness the same staff member fawning over American tourists seconds later. Confused
