DH. Drink driving. Facebook. This one has it all!

Im fucking LIVID with DH.

He went out for a meal last night. Came home at 11pm, and I got hit by the smell of beer straight away.

He said initally he had 4 pints with a big meal over the evening, today he has changed that to 3 pints.

Im literally fucking steaming. Im no goody goody, I drink like a fish, but Id NEVER consider getting behind a wheel.

What makes it worse is that it was a performance car he was driving, and he depends on his license for his job.

So, as well as possibly killing himself and others, he also risked his job, his home, everything. He had to come home rurally too, and the chances of hitting a deer or another animal at that time was increased. Not to mention teenagers hanging around during summer holidays.

Can you tell Im mad?

Anyway, I just let rip, publically, on facebook. He still doesnt think he has done much wrong and that Im over reacting. So Ive blasted him publically. I hope his boss reads it and I hope he is FUCKING MORTIFIED.

Its almost a deal breaker for me.

Anyway, Im wondering whether Ive made myself look like a twat for using facebook to shame him. Should I remove it?

As much as I like reading a facebook row, it's not cool or classy. Just end the marriage if that's what you want?

monkeyfacegrace · 07/08/2015 11:21

Okay I'll take it down. Not bothered about looking like a twat btw. If someone that arrogant hit and killed a member of my family Id go insane.

His work people are all the same btw. They were all out together and none of them give a shiny shit.

Again, he is at NO RISK of being sacked while he holds a license. He is far far too good at his job to be let go. Hence the feeling invincible.

I dont think Ive ever been this angry.

If any of my friends posted similar, I'd be totally on their side.

MrsLeighHalfpenny · 07/08/2015 11:23

Where I work, someone was suspended because of a FB post about him being involved in a drunken brawl one evening. They said it brought the company into disrepute.

Take it off FB.

monkeyfacegrace · 07/08/2015 11:23

The post was actually from his boss tagging him and all discussing what a great time they had last night.

I commented along the lines of 'great night, driving home drunk. Pathetic'.

...meant to say, I've drafted policies for employers re: company cars where any drinking and driving (not just being over the limit) is forbidden.

Therefore just having had a drink is enough to trigger disciplinary action.

Anerak · 07/08/2015 11:23

You're being really irrational and impulsive and it can only backfire. Take it down, calm down, then consider it rationally

DragonsCanHop · 07/08/2015 11:23

Is it a company car?

monkeyfacegrace · 07/08/2015 11:24

I may have also said that next time I will call the police.

OP posts:
Bubblesinthesummer · 07/08/2015 11:25

Well if the post was his bosses and you have commented then it may be too late as they will have seen it.

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 07/08/2015 11:26

I suspect the boss will speak to HR as soon as he sees your comment- particularly as this was a work function - as it's now been nicely brought to his attention.

StealthPolarBear · 07/08/2015 11:26

He's done this before - I remember your previous thread, wasn't he banned before?

GeorgeYeatsAutomaticWriter · 07/08/2015 11:26

You commented on his boss'sstatus, slagging off your husband and threatening to call the police?

Seriously?

ohidoliketobe · 07/08/2015 11:27

I'd be livid as well. But seriously, Facebook?

monkeyfacegrace · 07/08/2015 11:27

His boss will have waved him off knowing he was over the limit. They are all on my twat radar.

WixingMords · 07/08/2015 11:27

Ah the classic "you're a terrible person" directed towards a person that has made know something another person has done that is dangerous and illegal.

Yep what the OP wrote is definitely far worse and morally wrong than drink driving.

monkeyfacegrace · 07/08/2015 11:28

No before he got caught driving at 58 in a 30 zone. Past a school. In the rain.

His boss got him off with 3 points and a 60 fine.

IKnowIAmButWhatAreYou · 07/08/2015 11:29

And to reitterate, he absolutely still thinks Im over reacting.

Well, I do too personally.

I don't agree with drink driving at all, but you sound like a hysterical loon....

People do get sacked from what their bosses see on Facebook you know. You were cross that he might have risked his job drunk driving (he was a bloody idiot for doing that, no question) but now you've made it probable that he will. And everyone you know now knows about it. I think you've taken a bad situation and made it worse. Sorry. Stay off Facebook, you're an adult.

Zucker · 07/08/2015 11:30

So it's all a bit of puff and bluster on your part then really OP. You're not actually going to do anything to back up your outrage.

You post on FB to "shame" him but sure it's fine as he can't be fired there's no proof. It's a "dealbreaker" but sure you're not going to leave as you have kids.

How has his attitude changed with all of your outrage on the matter?

Bubblesinthesummer · 07/08/2015 11:31

I don't agree with drink driving at all, but you sound like a hysterical loon

I kind of agree.

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 07/08/2015 11:31

Ah the classic "you're a terrible person" directed towards a person that has made know something another person has done that is dangerous and illegal.

The correct way to make it known is to report it to the police - not to plaster it all over Facebook.

HoldYerWhist · 07/08/2015 11:31

You commented on his boss's status???

Ok, is this real?!

MorrisZapp · 07/08/2015 11:32

Has his boss responded?
