We have 3 dc's under 5. We eat most days at 5pm. Nice to eat with the family around the table but it always leaves me peckish by about 8pm. I'm on mat leave so that's why I'm able to eat at this time.

OP posts:
FenellaFellorick · 03/08/2015 19:15

around 6

formerbabe · 03/08/2015 19:21

Me and oh eat dinner at 8.

Kids eat about 4.30/5.

I don't want to eat dinner early and prefer to eat in peace once kids are in bed.

splendide · 03/08/2015 19:22

5.45 at the moment with our 9 month old.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 03/08/2015 19:23

Same as you OP then later on I'll have some fruit or soup or a sandwich.

SleepRefugee · 03/08/2015 19:23

4 year old eats at around 5.30 / 6.00 - we eat at around 9pm once she's asleep.

Psycobabble · 03/08/2015 19:25

I tend to feed ds at 5 and then I eat later in peace or if dp is home ( works away ) we eat later too together . Do try have a couple of meals all day together though during weekend more likely at lunch time

I should probably eat more with ds during the week but I'd be starving by bedtime !!

SirPercyPilkington · 03/08/2015 19:25

6pm.
Would ideally like to eat a little later (6.30/7 during the week) but we like to eat together with the little 'un.
If we are having a dessert/bit of chocolate, it will be after the kid is in bed.

And it's dinner

Psycobabble · 03/08/2015 19:26

All together not all day together Confused

VixxFace · 03/08/2015 19:26

About 9.

Psycobabble · 03/08/2015 19:27

Lookingforwardtoholiday · 03/08/2015 19:28

About 8pm couldn't imagine eating at 5 with kids, it's the middle of the afternoon and it's DINNER

The5DayChicken · 03/08/2015 19:28

DD gets her tea at 5 but that's far too early for me. I eat sometime between 7:30 and 9:30. We do eat breakfast and lunch together though Smile

fleamadonna · 03/08/2015 19:28

14 month old ds eats with us at around 6:30/7. it's late, but the only way to spend time as a family as dp works long hours mon-fri and I work weekend evenings.

BeeMyBaby · 03/08/2015 19:29

We try to eat around 6pm as I don't like to eat anything after 7pm - although DH tends to eat separately much later

PatriciaHolm · 03/08/2015 19:29

Dinner for adults 9/9.30

Dinner for children usually 6ish.

Cliffdiver · 03/08/2015 19:30

DDs eat DINNER between 4.30 and 5pm everyday, often DH (if he's off work) and I eat with them, if not we will eat when they are in bed, at about 7.30.

nokidshere · 03/08/2015 19:30

When ours were smaller they always ate around 5pm as they would be starving then. We ate at around 8 when they were in bed.

Now they are teens we all eat together about 7:30 unless they are out for sporting stuff in which case we all just grab food when we can

MyPelvicFloorTrainsItself · 03/08/2015 19:32

6 and its tea. We never have dinner. Just breakfast, lunch and tea.

StarsInTheNightSky · 03/08/2015 19:34

Toddler DS eats at 5pm, and we have a snack them too so that were all sat around the table eating. DH and I eat at 10pm. We aren't in the UK though, so we tend to follow the convention here.

Hopelass · 03/08/2015 19:39

During the week we all (me, DP and toddler DS) eat around 5-5.30 but at the weekend DS eats at the usual time and we eat after he's gone to bed because its usually something not toddler friendly!

Happy36 · 03/08/2015 19:39

We are in Spain. Children eat around 20:00. Usually I will sit with them while they eat, then my husband and I eat together at around 21.00, but sometimes I will eat with the children, for example, if I am going out afterwards or if my husband is out that evening (very rare). The children get their main meal at lunchtime at school and have a snack at 17:00 so their dinner is quite light.

Happy36 · 03/08/2015 19:40

p.s. The children are 4 and 7. Both at school.

Heathcliff27 · 03/08/2015 19:40

When i've got days off its at about 5.30 all sat together at table.

Days i'm working i work split shifts and go back into work from 5-9 so kids eat at grandparents house at around 5, DH fixes himself something once he's collected kids, i normally have something before i go back to work and then maybe toast when I get home.

bestguess23 · 03/08/2015 19:41

No kids yet so have it between 7 and 9. Later in the summer holidays depending on how late we had lunch get out of bed

whatarethose · 03/08/2015 19:42

5 and 2.

Dinner 4.30, bath 5pm, bed 5.30pm.
