SAHM/P question? (personal)

Going off another thread and because I am extremely nosey...lol
My question is if you are a SAHM (or SAHP)...
How long have you been at home?
How many children do you have and what ages are they?
What does your OH do and what is they're pay (v personal I know!)?
Do you receive wtc ctc and cb?

I don't want this to turn into a bashing thread for or about anyone. It's genuine curiosity of how others live that is all.

sahm for 2 1/2 years
My lg is 2 1/2 and expecting no2 in 5weeks.
Hubby works as a marine engineer and earnsjust over 60k.
No wtc, ctc or child benefit.

Been a sahm for 7 years.
Children 7.5 and 4.5 (youngest starts full time school in sept)
Dp a manager in hospitality trade earns less than £40k
Get cb

I was one but not voluntarily (redundant then unemployed) so don't think it really counts. I never really considered myself a sahm.

Lasted years. 2 DC. DP self employed earning less than nmw. Got more in wtc/ctc/cb than pay. one of the families that GO is out to get

I was a sahp. I returned after 2 years as dh wanted to open his own business (which was our long term plan) meaning he could work from home as and when he needed. I wanted a secure income to pay bills while he built the business.

I had a lot of experience and my previous employer was more than happy to have me back.

I have 2 dc .

We sold that business and opened a new one and run it together. We both work from home. So choldcare is done between us and We work around the kids.

Not really what I actually am. I do work ft, but do it when the kids are at school or in bed. In the school holidays I work a bit less. I am not a wohm or really a sahp.

We don't get wtc or ctc and didn't claim child benefit, but now we wouldn't get it anyway.

Been sahm for just over a year, I returned to work after youngest but had to give up because of his health issues and hospital appointments (hydrocephalus)
Children are 16,14,13,11,8 and 2 and a half.
DH 35k software engineer
No wtc but cb and ctc

SAHM since November (started mat leave in November 2013 and didn't go back)
DS is 22 months and DD is due in November
DH is self employed earns £30-40k p.a
Get child benefit only

SAHM 3 1/2 years. Two children (3 and 1).

DH is a solicitor on £30k.

We get CB and CTC.

Sahm for 3 months
One toddler and another due soon
Oh earns 34-38k per yr. I took voluntary redundancy so I 'draw' a wage from that which should last me 2-3 years.
Get cb

SAHM for 3yrs.
DC are 3 and 1.
DH is high earner. We live abroad but wouldn't be eligible for tax credits or child benefit if we were in UK.
I have a private pension and some investments in my name (property and shares) which give me a small income.

Oh is an engineer

Sahm for 1 (+) years. No CB/ any of what there are. H is in an engineering role (varies but £70k+).
I am looking for paid work though.

Oh. DC are 7 &9

Been a sahm for 7 years. 2 school age DC.
Dh earns just over hrt limit and is an engineer.
Get child benefit. Never had WTC or TC.
Looking for pt work ATM but nothing out there that fits in with Dhs work (he works away sometimes) and DC school.
No pension
No savings

I will be a work from home mum, as I'm self employed but dh still main bread winner. He's a software developer at our local nhs trust, between us we earn nearly £40k a year.

First dc due in October so we are really new family, both been at our jobs for less than five years.

SAHM for 4.5 years.
Kids are 4.5 and 6.5.
DH is a project manager on roughly £40k.
We receive CB.

SAHM for a year.
1 DC who is 4.
DP is a warehouse manager on £30k
We receive CB.

SAHM for between 2.5 and 3 years since DC2 came along. DH is self employed. Its not a large income but we get by well enough and we claim CB.

Well I guess I'm officially a carer but started off as a sahm ..... ! My dh is a retail manager in a relatively low wage area, he earns 15.5k which is average for where we live, we have two dc one of which has severe autism and we receive high rate dla for and I receive carers allowance. Prior to finding out ds had autism he was a very high needs baby and I didn't feel able to leave him with anyone so became an sahm (before dc I used to work as a marketing manager commuting to London but hated it).

We receive wtc and ctc and when the new tax credit thresholds come into play we will be £30 worse off a week. They said they wouldn't change dla but in a way they have because families like ours who claim dla and have a low income are still going to lose money from their overall income which will impact the disabled child.

SAHM 18 months
Children 24,15,13 and 15 months
DH 200k

To be honest, income is less important than difference between income and outgoings. We had to make changes when I stopped work as most families spend more the more they earn. For us, my salary had been significant so we cut monthly outgoings as much as we could to make up for lost salary.

SAHM (sort of) for three years.
Toddler DS but repeated late miscarriages prior, plus one early miscarriage since, plus severe health problems (cancer)
We own and run a ranch in South America, DH is assistant foreman, I do the overall management/staff management/business development.
Annual profits extremely lucrative, wouldn't be eligible for any kind of benefits if wee lived in the UK.
No pension but savings and investments, ranch, its land and holdings are all owned outright, no mortgage.

I've been at home for 9 years after becoming very ill whilst on mat leave. I'm now registered disabled so not at home through choice.

Dp was an hgv driver before his road accident 20 months ago and earned around 18 to 20k.

We are on full benefits until he can find a different job as he's not fit enough to return to driving/unloading. He is signed off until August at the moment.

Kids are 17 and 9

I was a SAHM for 5 years. We have two children, 5 and 3. DH is an engineer, and in that time has earned between £35k and £50k. We get CB but haven't claimed anything else. We own a property together, and I own a flat from pre DH which is rented out. He has a pension through work, mine is negligible. I am planning on keeping rental property and pay that off over next 30 years to serve that purpose.

I have just started part time work for a charity (paid).
