Places you've not been before - anywhere in the world? Singapore was at the top of my list, but I went in 2009. Choose 3.

Vancouver

Trieste in Italy.

The Orkney Islands.

I would like to see New Zealand but will never get there because the flight is too long.

I would also like to visit California, and hope to go next year. That flight is also very long so I will need a load of Xanax to get there but I have family over there so it will be worth it.

There are some places I haven't even heard of on this thread! Its very interesting.

dinkystinky · 08/07/2015 14:23

Kenya
Peru
Sri Lanka

downgraded · 08/07/2015 14:23

Shanghai it does depend on where you have come from to compare doesn't it?!

I landed in HK after a couple of months in India and thought it was amazing - I think I was just glad to be back in civilisation Grin

fourquenelles · 08/07/2015 14:49

ooo thank you juneau I have been looking in the wrong place on t'internet. My price was an escorted tour with companies like Saga. I will dig deeper. Flowers

juneau · 08/07/2015 14:54

Ah, well you see I'd rather walk over hot coals than go on an escorted tour with Saga or anyone else!

pinkmagic1 · 08/07/2015 15:00

So many but my top 3 are:

Northern India, golden triangle.

Morocco, Marrakech (going in 5 weeks :)

Uzbekistan, maybe a riding holiday.

StillRainingInMay · 08/07/2015 15:03

Borneo (for the orang-utangs)

The Galapagos Islands

Kenya on safari

(can you tell I'm a biologist?)

Mind you, that's hardly touching the places I want to go to!

AmericasTorturedBrow · 08/07/2015 15:26

For those saying Iceland is cheap blah blah blah. Money may not be the reason for not being able to go.

TTWK · 08/07/2015 15:36

It's a very expensive holiday though TTWK if you want to eat out etc. I had a very significant holiday there and it was AMAZING but it blew a huge chunk of my savings. Mainly on the food. Amazing food. Sigh.

Iceland doesn't have to be expensive to eat at all. Avoid alcohol. One night we bought a cooked chicken from the supermarket, some cans of drink and a cake and sat on the harbour wall eating it. Kids loved it, about £10 for the 4 of us.

Iceland on a budget is quite possible.

PolShelby · 08/07/2015 15:38

Bora Bora
Somewhere I can watch the Northern Lights
That island with all the swimming pigs Grin

cathcustard · 08/07/2015 15:46

New York
Marrakech

StillRainingInMay · 08/07/2015 15:48

Swimming pigs PolShelby? I'm intrigued!

Dowser · 08/07/2015 15:52

I would love to revist Cuba...particularly Havana as we didn't spend nearly long enough there

I would love to revisit Venice....same reason. Four hours wasnt enough

I'd also like to go back to St Tropez but not in the height of the summer and certainly not in a car without air con. This time round I would also like to find a parking space in Monaco and not just drive through it.

I also want to go back to the alps. Les linderais , the little goat village up the mountain.was just out of Heidi. It was so beautiful. The most amazing scenery I've ever seen so far. Morzine just beautiful . Again straight out of Heidi . The air so fresh and clean.

I would love to revisit Brittany. We had a little chalet at le pounding for 3 years and I just loved it.

Paris...this time when Versailles is open.

Orlando..had a place there for a long time and miss it so much. Love Mt Dora and Boggy creek . The wildlife is amazing.

Ireland...want to trace my great grandparents once I work out where they are from.

So many places, so little time, so little resources.

I haven't travelled much about the world but have been very fortunate to have been to the places I have been.

VivaLeBeaver · 08/07/2015 15:58

Costa Rica.

Somewhere in Canada or America which looks like Davy Crockett country with rivers and trees and bears.

Australia.

MrsTerryPratchett · 08/07/2015 16:04

Bhutan
Middle East including Iran and Syria (not at the moment)
Mongolia

Recently went to:
Morocco
China (Yunnan)

I would recommend China. Really fascinating and wonderful to travel in.

gonegrey56 · 08/07/2015 16:09

Crater Lake, Oregon, USA . Have been briefly once and I so want to return . Gorgeous place ! Featured in the recent film "Wild".

PolShelby · 08/07/2015 16:10

It's in the Bahamas Stillraining, there's an island inhabited by pigs and they swim about getting fed by passing tourists. I really fancy going snorkeling with a pig!

Withershins · 08/07/2015 16:14
