I've just read that they ARE divorcing. I was hoping it was all vicious rumour. They seemed like a genuine, real couple. Can nobody ever stay married in Hollywood?

There's loads of them that have been married for years Ted Danson and Mary, Tom Hanks and Rita, a William H Macy and Felicity, Matt Damon and his wife. There's literally hundreds of happy Hollywood couples, I don't think there relationships are any different to ours.

California Law treats marriages < or > than 10 years very differently in terms of financial arrangements in a divorce, I believe.

Tom Cruise apparently rushed to separate from NK before tenth anniversary for that reason (saved himself a lot of money).

I hope the significance of the timing is that BA/JG didn't want to do that, are happy to have their marriage legally treated as a 'long marriage' and are both fundamentally decent people

In interviews I have seen him in lately, I got the feeling Ben was just angry. I generally couldn't care less about celeb divorces but feel sad for Jennifer Garner, although she's probably jumping for joy.

Jen is no angel. She cheated on her first husband and then cheated on the next boyfriend with Ben. She used to have an image of being quite the vixen then rebranded as a wholesome mum. Although Ben clearly has a whole host of issues.

I think the 'what do they argue about' question is an interesting one. I guess that a similar question could be asked of lottery win couples who divorce.

Is there the problem that it is too easy not to be satisfied with the life you have because you can easily pay for another one?
