I'm so angry I may explode

For a while I've been 'losing' random things, leggings, tops, cardigans, eyeliner etc etc etc.

Thought I was being scatty and disorganised.

Gutted my room this weekend in prep for decorating and still couldn't find lost bits..... Just bumped into my cleaner who was wearing two of the items I've lost (one very distinctive) at first I thought no it can't be but as she scuttled off I thought wtf ? She looked mortified and I was speechless.

She still has a key and is due to come mon or tues. I'm so angry, I don't know why I didn't say something I think it was disbelief at first

I assume 101 will be open on a Sunday evening? should you call before she can get rid of any evidence of items that she has stolen from other people?

She sounds awful Sad

wearejustlikeKevinBacon · 21/06/2015 18:56

...sorry, I mean as well as items that she has stolen from you she could have stolen jewelry etc from other people that she cleans for.

AntiHop · 21/06/2015 18:58

You must tell the person who recommended her too.

SylvaniansAtEase · 21/06/2015 19:02

Do you know who else she cleans for? Please report, and emphasise that she is also working for vulnerable elderly people - so even though you don't necessarily expect them to be able to recover any of your items, you absolutely want to pursue it.

If you know her address, it might be worth reporting before you say anything to her - she might not think you will report and might not get rid of stuff right now - you might be in luck and get a police officer to come to hers with you. Don't know if that's how it works though.

What an absolute cow.

wearejustlikeKevinBacon · 21/06/2015 19:05

I think that you need to be careful not to tip her off that she has been found out, she might be daft/brazen enough to think that you will think that it is only you that she has stolen from iyswim!

Edenviolet · 21/06/2015 19:15

Well, I wish I'd googled her before employing her.... Made for some interesting reading. Seems theft is her thing Sad

The previous one we had for only a few weeks, I don't think anything at all went missing in that time it's only been the last few weeks

Stinkerbellabumsmella · 21/06/2015 19:22

Omg hedgehog well you have almost definitive evidence then, I bet she's already stolen from those old ladies she cleans for. Sounds as though she can't help herself.

sykadelic · 21/06/2015 19:25

Definitely report her to the police. What an awful woman :(

BallsforEarrings · 21/06/2015 19:47

Please get the police involved this woman is discrediting the cleaning industry this cannot be tolerated.

If she is from a company please, please let them know to protect them and other clients from her ways.

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 21/06/2015 19:57

How awful.

ragged · 21/06/2015 20:08

Who steals leggings ? That is just so weird.

Edenviolet · 21/06/2015 20:12

I know, so far it doesn't look like anything that's actually worth anything has been taken. Leggings, tops, cardigans, elsa costume, eyeliners, make up etc but all my jewellery still there, no money has ever gone missing she only took her wages that we left out.

Obviously she really can't stop herself as I've found from googling her.

Iflyaway · 21/06/2015 20:24

Only stealing clothes, eh?

Maybe for lost refugees.... (I give all my extras to the clothes bank...).

Anyway, that is neither here nor there, the fact is she is stealing from you.
And crafty with it.

Let the police know...

RandomMess · 21/06/2015 20:30

Just horrible, absolutely horrible Sad Angry

LIZS · 21/06/2015 20:31

What showed on Google Shock

Kitkatatonia · 21/06/2015 20:36

Why would she wear those highly incriminating items back to the same place she stole them from?

The mind boggles.

scarlets · 21/06/2015 20:39

So sorry. Dreadful.

Hopefully, the police will investigate her dealings with the older people.

It's weird that she doesn't steal financially valuable stuff. It's as if it's a mental disorder. If she's wearing the stuff, it's not as though she is eBaying it for extra cash. Very bizarre.

DevonFolk · 21/06/2015 20:45

I don't think she did Kit. The OP says she bumped into the cleaner.

Do shop her to the police - otherwise there's nothing to stop her doing it to someone else.
