Whether he's gay, straight or bi I think it's out of order to assume he's putting on his campness. Butch and feminine are social constructs and thee is no reason why his gender presentation should fit your idea of a straight man if that's not who he is. I like how gay men are allowed to be camp but straight are not!

Moominmarvellous · 31/05/2015 20:53

I agree he's a little creepy looking. It's the little eyes and small teeth.

Allwayslookingforanswers · 31/05/2015 20:54

I would shag Walliams senseless. He is fit

editthis · 31/05/2015 20:55

I think he's completely talentless and acts camp to make him seem more interesting.

As an aside, three separate people I know who've met him (two press, one worked for him) agree he's a tosser. I haven't met him however, so cannot confirm.

Trills · 31/05/2015 20:56

dont think he's gay, his ex was a model

I think you had a bit of a typo there - where you wrote "model" did you mean to write "woman"?

Sparklingbrook · 31/05/2015 20:56

Well this is all educational.

ThePinkOcelot · 31/05/2015 20:59

You can see a mile off he's gay! I used to think he seemed more gay that Matt Lucas!

NerrSnerr · 31/05/2015 21:00

Yes. You can see gayness.....

BathshebaDarkstone · 31/05/2015 21:00

It's rare to meet a camp bisexual man, although I had a friend with benefits who was one. Blush

undoubtedly · 31/05/2015 21:01

See I don't get the point of beards AT ALL. I mean it's the 21st century and no one gives a flying fuck who is straight, gay or somewhere in the middle right?

If David Walliams is gay surely to God he can just come out and say it? Same with Bradley Cooper or whoever the fuck else.

You're gay. So What?

EhricLovesTheBhrothers · 31/05/2015 21:01

You can't see that he's gay you can see that he's camp.

Arsenic · 31/05/2015 21:01

Will you write a summary later please Sparkling?

siblingrevelryagain · 31/05/2015 21:01

I've not liked him since I saw him behaving in a very predatory way towards Will Young on a chat show - not just flirty but very embarrassing for Will and uncomfortable to watch. I remember thinking at the time that he wouldn't get away with it with a woman, so why is it acceptable to another man, whether he meant it or not.

Could just be me though - I can't stand people who get off on making other people uncomfortable.

OrlandoWoolf · 31/05/2015 21:01

Someone called George Michael was dating Brooke Shields

Apparently he's gay as well Grin

PrimalLass · 31/05/2015 21:02

One of my friends has a very camp husband. No sign whatsoever of being gay.

ImperialBlether · 31/05/2015 21:02

I love him. There's no reason why he'd have a beard, ffs, but thanks for explaining what one is, XiCi Grin

He was on Desert Island Discs a while back and it was very moving, what he said about being alone. There's an article about it, here.

undoubtedly · 31/05/2015 21:03

Although actually reading the thread, we seems to have wandered into 1987....

OrlandoWoolf · 31/05/2015 21:03

You can't see that he's gay you can see that he's camp

This. Being camp does not equal being gay.

There is nothing wrong with being gay. But boys who are camp get bullied because people assume they are gay because of stereotypes.

Arsenic · 31/05/2015 21:04

it's the 21st century and no one gives a flying fuck who is straight, gay or somewhere in the middle right?

Some people do care, clearly.

And if you're unfortunate enough to be raised by some of those people and you are also gay or bi, it could cause you problems.

NerrSnerr · 31/05/2015 21:05

Yes, looking at this thread it's no wonder that it's still hard for teenagers to come out.

Arsenic · 31/05/2015 21:06

I worry about Simon Cowell too.

But I snap out of it.

DizzyDaffodil · 31/05/2015 21:06

Because he wants to? I couldn't care less if he is gay, straight or bi. He's entertaining on TV and he writes books that children enjoy reading. As long as he's not breaking the law then what does it matter?

girliefriend · 31/05/2015 21:08

Is Bradley Cooper gay? Missed that one.

David Walliams has always clearly been gay, I have no idea why he married that super model Confused

My 9yo dd thinks he is great and is obsessed with his books!!

undoubtedly · 31/05/2015 21:08

Pretending you're straight when you're actually gay just seems so tragically uncool these days....

Arsenic · 31/05/2015 21:08

He's entertaining on TV

Hmm
