My friend had a house party last night for her birthday. She has a large kitchen so most of us were in there when a random woman asked my husband to zip her dress up as it was coming down at the back.

She was with friends and has never met my husband (or me) ever before.

Aibu to have been annoyed?

HA Derek... Grin

I assumed from original post she must have somehow been flirty but actually re reading the post there is nothing there to suggest that. But stand by my original observation but odd to ask a strange man to do it if stood with friends...

WorraLiberty · 17/05/2015 21:56

Dezza! Grin

mynameisvivienne · 17/05/2015 21:57

Her zip came loose, she asked a person close to her to fasten it

When did I say he was closest person to her?

You assumed that yourself and you assumed wrongly.

Be annoyed with your dh.

Justusemyname · 17/05/2015 21:57

YANBU. She should have had enough consideration to ask a woman to do it.

Springintosummer · 17/05/2015 21:58

What are you annoyed about? Do you think your DH would be tempted to cheat because of this? In this case you have bigger issues.

If this happened to DH I may tease him later about women just wanting him to touch them as I would find it funny.

If you don't trust your husband when he is asked to fix someone's zip you have problems OP.

BlueBananas · 17/05/2015 22:00

You assumed that yourself and you assumed wrongly.

Well I assume if she'd walked past 15 people and purposely gone to your DH to do her zip then you'd have mentioned it? It's a pretty important detail Hmm

thornrose · 17/05/2015 22:00

Stop being so insecure.

MildDrPepperAddiction · 17/05/2015 22:01

?? Derek!

WalterMittyish · 17/05/2015 22:01

You assumed that yourself and you assumed wrongly.

So give a bit more background. What, exactly, is making you so angry about this? Even if she was coming on to him (in the style of Derek's Hollywood bonkbuster), what's the issue unless he responds?

mynameisvivienne · 17/05/2015 22:02

I said she was with her friends.

Oh FGS.

What exactly is annoying you here?

Does your husband have form for eyeing up other women?

Do you not trust him?

BlueBananas · 17/05/2015 22:05

Right? She can be with her friends and still stood near your DH
Either tell the whole story or say nothing atall, you're just being difficult now with your cryptic half answers and its pissing me off

Salmotrutta · 17/05/2015 22:06

If my husband was asked to zip up someone's dress I wouldn't give a hoot.

Because I trust him.

UncertainSmile · 17/05/2015 22:06

If he zipped it up with his teeth, I would understand your point

QueenBean · 17/05/2015 22:06

Ah ha ha ha ha.

Sure.

stopeatingbiscuits · 17/05/2015 22:07

Mmmm I don't think OP has said she was annoyed with her husband (unless I am missing something), which I WOULD consider unreasonable, but I don't think it is necessarily BU to be irked with the woman if she was in fact openly flirting with a man obviously in a relationship (tho this assumes you were standing together / it was obvious you were together which, again, I may be wrongly inferring)

Evabeaversprotege · 17/05/2015 22:08
Hmm

Do you have trust issues?
