Not necessarily an aibu but it's Sunday, ergo fun day...

Over the years I've had many NNs which either described the situation I was in or a favourite quote from a book or film.

What's yours? And who has the best NN? (Hopes FuckYouChrisAndThatHorse turns up). My current NN came from a very trivial discussion I had with my friend over what I was making her for dinner and she said "You're making potatoes! Just fucking potatoes!?" And I replied with "Well yes, please appreciate the humble potato."

GiddyOnZackHunt · 17/05/2015 19:32

Glad you won't be muttering Zack Hunt all night!

Thisismyfirsttime · 17/05/2015 19:34

Mine was because I was pregnant with my first dc and it was my first post on MN. If there's a prize for originality and wit I'll just sit back and wait for it....
And now I'm in the ridiculous position of wanting to name change but I'm not really keen on change and I worry no-one will 'know' me if I do despite only having posted about 20 times in the whole 2 years I've been here! Grin

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 17/05/2015 19:35

Well I'm obsessed with lighthouses ships anchors anything to do with the sea and I'm fascinated by ghosts, and love anything woo. InfCt the wooer Tver better.
If I ever win the lottery I'd like to bUy a lighthouse and I'm sure they have their fair share of ghosts. They just wouldn't be complete without one.

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 17/05/2015 19:37

Line 4 should say. The wooer the better!

RagstheInvincible · 17/05/2015 19:39

Mine is the name of a 1930s boy's school story a copy of which was the only school prize my Dad ever won.

FuckYouChrisAndThatHorse · 17/05/2015 19:39

Thanks Humblepotato :o

ChampagneBabyCakes · 17/05/2015 19:40

Couldn't think of anything witty, so chose three things I like - champagne, babies and cakes. My three fave things for sure.

WinterBabyof89 · 17/05/2015 19:41

Pretty self explanatory mine - I'm not all that creative on the username front!

PooSweats84 · 17/05/2015 19:41

The panic you get when you're out and about and desperate for a poo but can't find a toilet! I explained this feeling to a friend once and he said 'ahhhh, the poo sweats'! It happens to me quite a lot, especially when I'm in Debenhams for some reason!

jellyrolly · 17/05/2015 19:43

That half a stone you can't lose after you've had children. Even though you eat properly and exercise.

MitMopse · 17/05/2015 19:44

Mine is from an in-joke me and DH have since a holiday in Europe. It means 'with boobs' in German (I think!). The source of the in-joke is a bit gross.....but it was hilarious at the time...

Welshwabbit · 17/05/2015 19:49

I am Welsh and a wabbit. Obvs.

Nn given to me many years ago by a former housemate.

Dismalfuckers · 17/05/2015 19:50

My parents

grapejuicerocks · 17/05/2015 19:52

Well I may have a penchant for the odd tipple or two...

NoArmaniNoPunani · 17/05/2015 19:52

It's a toilet attendant's saying.

FantasticButtocks · 17/05/2015 19:56

I live in a place with lots of hills. I tend to be walking up and down them all the time....

RunningJumpingClimbingTrees · 17/05/2015 19:57

I just changed mine because I'm a huge Eddie izzard fan but before I was a 90s film but also I was dazed and confused about becoming a mum which I still am but 8 months in felt the need for a wee change

SirChenjin · 17/05/2015 19:58

NoArmaniNoPunani - often wondered where that name came from. What does it mean?

MargotLovedTom · 17/05/2015 20:01

Simply because she did. She would've turned Jerry over in a heartbeat if Tom had given her the glad eye.

MadisonMontgomery · 17/05/2015 20:02

Couldn't think of a username and was watching AHS Coven at the time. #madisonforsupreme

CharlieUniformNovemberTango · 17/05/2015 20:03

SuffolkNWhat - I've always loved your name!

Mines a nod to the importance of Capitalisation.

TiggyD · 17/05/2015 20:03

I once farted in a park and the fart fumes wafted upwards into a herd of starlings. When they died and fell to Earth their feathery corpses spelt out the name TIGGY. Thus was a legend born.

Ilikeafternoonnaps · 17/05/2015 20:07

I think mine speaks for it's self Smile I do enjoy a nice afternoon nap

PlummyBrummy · 17/05/2015 20:07

Mine comes from a friend at uni who could only just about tell where I came from. No one in London (where I moved after) could tell: I was just 'northern', but it's returned with a vengeance since I came home!

MrsBartlet · 17/05/2015 20:09

Mine is a character from The West Wing which is my all time favourite programme. However, MrsBartlet is far from my favourite character but CJ and Donna Moss were both taken when I joined 8 years ago! Actually my favourite characters are all men but I didn't want to be know by a man's name!
