Not necessarily an aibu but it's Sunday, ergo fun day...

Over the years I've had many NNs which either described the situation I was in or a favourite quote from a book or film.

What's yours? And who has the best NN? (Hopes FuckYouChrisAndThatHorse turns up). My current NN came from a very trivial discussion I had with my friend over what I was making her for dinner and she said "You're making potatoes! Just fucking potatoes!?" And I replied with "Well yes, please appreciate the humble potato."

babyboomersrock · 17/05/2015 17:30

babyboomers because I am one (1947) and rock because that's the kind of music we like/dancing we do.

And before I realised how unpopular we are on MN, I thought we did rock generally Sad (although some of us are horrible too, as I've just noted on another thread Wink)

ChameleonCircuit · 17/05/2015 17:50

It's the bit of the TARDIS that's broken.

ChameleonCircuit · 17/05/2015 17:51

And a cool band, of course.

BillyBigchin · 17/05/2015 17:54

Have had loads of names since I joined, but this one is from a Terry Pratchett book (or probably a few).

Billy Bigchin is the gonnagle for the Wee Free Men.

MeggyMooAndTinkerToo · 17/05/2015 17:57

Mine are some of the phraes that my DM made up and used to have me repeat over and over again when I was a child. I lost most of my hearing and DM was adamant that I wouldn't grow up with a "deaf accent" Confused. My DM was one of a kind!

KenDoddsDadsDog · 17/05/2015 17:58

Tongue twister / piece of graffiti

MrsTerryPratchett · 17/05/2015 18:02

Mine is self explanatory. More poignant now that the wonderful Sir Terry has died. RIP Terry. Flowers

myusernameisusername · 17/05/2015 18:05

Every other cool nickname was taken Angry

TwoNoisyBoys · 17/05/2015 18:05

Mine's fairly obvious, I think......! When I first joined MN, I just had a complete mind blank about what to call myself......it took me AGES to come up with TwoNoisyBoys. I'm not normally so unimaginative! I've had some great ideas (well, I think they're great Wink) for name changes since, but I don't really want to name-change now, as I've been TwoNoisy for so long, it'd seem weird......

LongDistanceLove · 17/05/2015 18:07

I'm in a long distance relationship.

MmeGuillotine · 17/05/2015 18:10

It's the name of my blog, which started off as a repository for research about the French Revolution but has now evolved to become a more general women's history type thing.

BeautyQueenFromMars · 17/05/2015 18:13

Mine's a Bon Jovi song. I've been a Bon Jovi fan for a loooong time. I'm also short, fat and very plain, which is obviously not beauty queen material on this planet, but might possibly be so on Mars Grin

TheHumblePotato · 17/05/2015 18:15

Why so many Terry Pratchett inspired names I wonder? Seems as though MrsTerryPratchett is intent on staging a coup?

ToadsJustFellFromTheSky · 17/05/2015 18:15

Mine was inspired by the X Files.

I'm sure fans of the show will understand.

BeautyQueenFromMars · 17/05/2015 18:15

Nanny0gg, whenever I see your name, I think of my dear departed Nanny, who I loved dearly. She passed away 12 years ago, but she introduced me to Terry Pratchett, and was as close to Nanny Ogg in real life as it was possible to get. Your name always makes me smile.

OTheHugeManatee · 17/05/2015 18:17

It's a Hindenburg thing.

AccidentalAnarchist · 17/05/2015 18:18

A Levellers song

AbiBranning · 17/05/2015 18:21

EastEnders addict!

PiggyPlumPie · 17/05/2015 18:21

DCs used to have Webkinz toys and played the on-line games. Piggy Plum Pie was the song that DD2 sang incessantly.Grin

GiddyOnZackHunt · 17/05/2015 18:21

This one tells you what I think of the current chancellor. I fear it may be too subtle.

MsRaspberryJam · 17/05/2015 18:24

I always thought EatShitDerek was to do with the film Step Brothers. Which I love!

I used to have a Red Dwarf NN, but had to give it up due to stalking. I was gutted!

This one I chose because it sounds sweet and homely but it is actually a play on the name of the psychotic character from GTA V's teddy bear, Mr Raspberry Jam. Mr Raspberry Jam has one ear and wears lady's knickers.

Dawndonnaagain · 17/05/2015 18:28

I just like really stupid puns, the again was because I flounced a few years ago, then came back, it fitted.

EleanorAbernathy · 17/05/2015 18:29

It's the real name of the crazy cat lady from The Simpsons. One day I will BE her.

MuttonCadet · 17/05/2015 18:31

I like red wine, and I'm a bit mutton dressed as lamb.

FuckYouChrisAndThatHorse · 17/05/2015 18:31

Well, there was this horse...
