Would you raise an eyebrow at 43 and 38 as ages of prospective parents?

Don't be PC!

Please be honest! To me it seems older than ideal.

It'd be dc3, if that matters?

No

PuntasticUsername · 15/05/2015 22:11

Not at all.

christinarossetti · 15/05/2015 22:11

Not at all. It's not that unusual for dc1 these days.

Good luck!

treaclesoda · 15/05/2015 22:12

Wouldn't give it a second thought. Seems like a pretty normal age to me, certainly not unusual.

ilovesooty · 15/05/2015 22:12

Why would anyone?

cosytoaster · 15/05/2015 22:12

No

IndridCold · 15/05/2015 22:12

No

ChampagneBabyCakes · 15/05/2015 22:12

No, think it's pretty normal especially for DC3.

squoosh · 15/05/2015 22:12

Nope. Definitely not.

WanttoFindWorkLifeBalance · 15/05/2015 22:12

We were 43 and 37 with dc3 - never even occurred to me that it might not be considered ideal tbh. Lots of older parents round our way though so definitely not the oldest of our local friends.

LemonYellowSun · 15/05/2015 22:12

No not at all

Janethegirl · 15/05/2015 22:12

No, just go for it Smile

DelightfulFunky · 15/05/2015 22:13

Nope, I'd say congratulations! But then I would as I am DD5 and my mum and dad were 43/44 when I was born.

Mummymoanasaurus · 15/05/2015 22:13

Not at all. Had my last at 43 . To be honest it's been easier than the 1st

edwinbear · 15/05/2015 22:13

No, not all. we had out first at 41/34 and second at 44/36.

AuntyMag10 · 15/05/2015 22:14

No not at all because it isn't my business.

nobodyknowswheremyjonnyhasgone · 15/05/2015 22:15

No!We were both 41 with DC3.

bunchoffives · 15/05/2015 22:15

Is the mum the one who is 38?

DelightfulFunky · 15/05/2015 22:15

Posted way too quickly - we were those exact ages when we had DC1 and almost 3 years older when we had DC2. Wishing you all the best.

ICUB4UCMe · 15/05/2015 22:16

Err, no. I don't think I'd notice at all.

SenecaFalls · 15/05/2015 22:16

My SIL and DBro were 38 and 46 when they had their last DC, so I see no problem.

Charlotte3333 · 15/05/2015 22:16

Not at all. I tend to just think so long as the baby is loved and cherished not much else matters.

wooldonor · 15/05/2015 22:18

I wasn't much younger than that when I had my first, I didn't give it a second thought and certainly didn't care what anyone else thought.

Are you in the UK, 38 isn't unusual where I live at all and I thought it was the same all over

JohnFarleysRuskin · 15/05/2015 22:18

Er no. That was our ages with the one before last.
Why would people raise their eyebrows?

PattiODoors · 15/05/2015 22:18

No eyebrows raised here either.
