Without even trying I usually eat 10+ portions a day, I just can't think how anyone doesn't have at least 5 a day.

Today ive had
oats with kiwi and banana
Apple to snack
Chicken pasta with tomatoes, courgette, onion garlic peppers mushrooms (3 portions at least)
Greek salad tomatoes, cucumber, avocado Basil red onion

And now currently snacking on carrots and humous

Oh and cocoa in the choc bit of the digestive.

BuggersMuddle · 15/05/2015 21:25

Agree drink veg is the tricky one. I can do it if I take packed lunches and make an effort with then, but unless cooking a veggie main (evening) meal it can take a bit of effort.

MrsGentlyBenevolent · 15/05/2015 21:25

I'm running through what I had today. Seeds are healthy as well, so going to count them.

Had cocoa seeds, fruit and nuts in my chocolate fruit and nut bar.

Marmite sarnie for lunch, so you know. Points.

Had many cocoa bean seeds in my pack of Smarties. I think some of the colouring is made from fruit, or insects, or the tears of fruit bats or something healthy. Had a whole packet (bar the brown ones, which are gross, as everyone knows) so that's 30 fruits and I win.

Anniegetyourgun · 15/05/2015 21:25

Some of these posts reminded me inexorably of The Very Hungry Caterpillar. (But not reminded me well enough to record here the full list of what he ate on Friday.)

DustyMaiden · 15/05/2015 21:26

I eat up to 20 a day, good old slimming world.

Anniegetyourgun · 15/05/2015 21:27

ps If you have any spare brown Smarties, please send them to me. Brown is the colour of earth and therefore by definition healthy.

treaclesoda · 15/05/2015 21:29

I eat pretty well, I'm certainly not a vegetable dodger. But I don't think I could stomach eating 850g of fruit and veg a day. I would suffer horrendous stomach cramps and, er, associated afflictions if I ate that much.

FoxyJane · 15/05/2015 21:29

Olives, sundries tomatoes, leaves, cucumber, sweet corn, peppers, celery, an onion and a spring onion.

Ok struggling a bit now, red and white wine, tea, coffee, capers and banana bread (3 bananas in one loaf) and peanut butter.

Any of those last ones count - capers must surely.

MrsGentlyBenevolent · 15/05/2015 21:29

I totally will, if I can get them off my partner. He's a monster crisp eater, so brown smarties are the only fruit/veg he has in his awful, early heart attack, diet.

SweetAndFullOfGrace · 15/05/2015 21:30

Annie I'm sure a block of cheese and a sausage were involved. And possibly a lollipop and an ice cream?

squoosh · 15/05/2015 21:32

Your fruit and veg consumption may be helping you physically OP but they aren't doing much for your imagination if you truly wonder how some people fail to eat five portions a day.

Maybe upping your radish intake might help your imagination?

tilliebob · 15/05/2015 21:37

Well done OP. You'll be a much more preserved corpse in your coffin than me.

ButterflyOfFreedom · 15/05/2015 21:38

It's relatively easy to eat 5 a day if you want to - I guess some people don't want to & choose not to. Up to them though & I wouldn't start a thread boasting about having 10 portions!!

I would say that it's not that expensive to do though - I reckon you could get a carrot, an apple, a banana, jar of tomato pasta sauce & some raisins for less than £2...

CatthiefKeith · 15/05/2015 21:39

Well done op. Tell me, do you suffer terribly with foul wind? I imagine that so many vegetables will inevitably result in quite a lot of wind?

I used to be vegan. I was like walking napalm.Grin

SurlyCue · 15/05/2015 21:43

I ate some dog hair today. That's natural and unprocessed so must be good for me?

BeyondDoesBootcamp · 15/05/2015 21:46

If youre really that interested op, i have a thread going in the low carb section where i've kept track of every morsel to pass my lips for the past four or five months? No?

crustsaway · 15/05/2015 21:48

How very flatulent of you Grin

dougierose · 15/05/2015 21:48

Is this Katie Hopkins posting under an assumed name?

I'm at the pub. I am having potatoes and grapes.

crustsaway · 15/05/2015 21:49

Potatoes and grapes at a pub? thats a weird combo too.

ilovesooty · 15/05/2015 21:50

Wine and crisps?

ilovesooty · 15/05/2015 21:51

And no - the OP sure as hell isn't Katie Hopkins.

Wagglebee · 15/05/2015 21:51

Crusts wine and crisps I think. Wine

I just are a big bowl of roasted peppers and steed broccoli. let's ignore the two chocolate flapjacks I are whilst making it

cardibach · 15/05/2015 21:51

SuperFly I tend to forget that boarding is a mystery world until you are in it! I didn't cook any of that food - it was all provided by the kitchens at work in a room that looks like the dining hall at Hogwarts . I didn't cook/prepare anything from breakfast Thursday until the end of today. It's great, but can sometimes affect your 5 a day!

Wagglebee · 15/05/2015 21:52

Jasmineskye · 15/05/2015 21:52

I have to have smoothies.
