About to move into my first apartment. AIBU to put this above the fireplace, or will people think i'm unhinged?

I have no idea what other people might think. It's a bit of a puzzle to me too. But overall, I think it's funny.

My first flat was bonkers, all medieval and rich heavy colours. Everyone walked in, said wow, laughed, and then loved it.

Not my taste personally and I can imagine it raising a few eyebrows outside a 7yr olds bedroom but who cares? - if you like it do it. Better some generic art print that everyones got.
It would even look cool ironically if the rest of the room were bambi lamps and pink flamingo's -so you could go with retro ironic cool

It's not to my taste but it's your home, so as long as it doesn't play really loud music at random times of the night and upset the neighbours, it's up to you.

I would assume it was an ironic joke I wasn't getting, but go for it. It's not as if anyone else has to live with it. I was at a new friend's house last night, and they have literally nothing at all on the walls throughout the entire house apart from two wall-mounted TVs and light switches, which felt quite strange, too, in a big, Regency house with completely blank white walls throughout.

If you enjoy this type of art and looking at it makes you feel good, that's the only reason you'll ever need to put in above your fireplace.

May be worth considering if the rest of the room is in keeping with it, so it doesn't look out of place.
