Very trivial discussion (so I know I am being unreasonable already Grin ), but I am reading a thread about nasty celebs from 2008 (google brought me there) and really enjoying the gossip... AIBU to ask who the nicest and vilest celebs are who you have met in real life?

For all the people who mentioned Ed Miliband on this thread:

Milifandom is currently trending. You have to look. Really. You do.

Idontseeanydragons · 21/04/2015 22:23

Ahem. Trending on Twitter.

Has anyone mentioned Ed? Colleague of mine was at university with him - said he was a nice guy, bit of a geek. Nothing more exciting than that!

Sammo0 · 21/04/2015 22:26

Benedict Cumberbatch- was lunching with my sister in London and 3 year old neice at the time. She dropped her bag containing various items of crap and Benedict collected bits which rolled over to his table and was just adorable with her. V discreet and utterly charming. This was about 2 years ago. Fancied him madly ever since

my friend met Ed on a scuber diving course years ago and had no idea who he was but was amazed at how arrogant , and what a twat he was about the whole course .He apparently was clearly in love with himself .His brother was there too . Friend a labour voter said the experience of 7 days with him on a dive boat means he can't now vote labour .His brother on the other hand was down to earth and not a twat at all

I met Peter Kay at a Take That concert a few years ago, my friend and I went to the loo just as it started and there he was. He was very lovely and let us have a picture taken together. I caught sight of him later on the big screen, dancing away like all the other fans.

Tryingtokeepalidonit · 21/04/2015 22:41

When Benedict C got married on the Isle of Wight a few months ago he and his wife phoned all the small local suppliers for food for the reception the next day to thank them. According to the local press it was much appreciated.

TondelayoSchwarzkopf

Agreed.
Roy Keane is a bollox.
Didn't he admit to trying to break another player's leg?
And he wouldn't play for Ireland in the World Cup. Cunt.

Mrsstarlord · 21/04/2015 22:42

My DH met Bob Geldoff in the 70s, says he was a total wanker.

Clawdy · 21/04/2015 22:44

Know several people who have met Ed Miliband, and also one of his neighbours, and arrogant was the last word they would have used to describe him.

Mrsstarlord · 21/04/2015 22:45

May have been 80s

CelibacyCakeAndFuckThePO · 21/04/2015 22:47

YAY!!!!!!!!

3 days, 3 days to get to the end of this thread.

Have thoroughly enjoyed it.

I once stood in Copenhagen airport, desperately searching for a screen to check my check-in desk number.

Under the screen there stood a short (I'm 5'11" but he was.short), stocky, black man.

I expected him to step aside, so I could read the screen ( his friends were gathered near him but all was clear behind him/ them)

He didn't

I got huffy in a British way. I.e. I strutted very loudly.

He still didn't move.

So in the end I just stood right next to him so I could view the ever-changing info on the screen.

I got the info I needed and as I went to leave I turned to give the ignorant oaf a dirty look.

It was Mike Tyson.

He's a cunt. I think we all know that though.

Whitershadeofpale · 21/04/2015 22:48

Funny you say that book as I've seen David Milliband a few times with one of his DSs. He does lots of loud parenting whilst glancing around looking pleased with himself.

CelibacyCakeAndFuckThePO · 21/04/2015 22:49

Ffs * I tutted

Bazza2 · 21/04/2015 22:56

OMG Whiter I've heard the hair wanker HFW story too! Thankfully from a friend, not personal experience.

plinkin · 21/04/2015 22:56

I have it in authority from my DSis that Richard Hammond is just lovely but his wife is a miserable, stroppy 'don't you know who I am' diva Confused

Whitershadeofpale · 21/04/2015 23:01

There should be a support group. For women who've had HF-W wank in their hair.

In all seriousness though, it is sexual assault and very disturbing if this really has happened to lots of women (or even one).

FirstWeTakeManhattan · 21/04/2015 23:05

Oh yes, Julian Clary! Met him years ago when he was at his peak, I guess. Absolutely lovely. So warm and sweet, and the most gorgeous skin.

Where is today's sighting of Anthony Head?

CelibacyCakeAndFuckThePO · 21/04/2015 23:13

I met ASH earlier today.

We were on the train from London to Bristol.

He was so rude. He didn't have a pleasant word to say to me. All I did was ask him for his autograph. I've been a huge fan since the early days and I know all his parts in Once More with Feeling off-by-heart.

I actually cried.

.

Ok, it's all a lie (except the bit about me knowing his bit in OMWF). I've never met him.

I just thought I'd see how it looked on screen: ASH - whatabastard.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 21/04/2015 23:14

Paul Kaye....met him a few times through work and he's great

Grin I love Paul Kaye (remember Perfect World, he was also in A Child's Christmases in Wales, and Being Human)

So glad he;s nice (he has gorgeous eyes )

Might have to find that Two Thousand Acres of Sky now and watch it ....

CelibacyCakeAndFuckThePO · 21/04/2015 23:15

Paul Kaye

squoosh · 21/04/2015 23:17

Paul Kaye as in Dennis Pennis?

People swoon over him??

CelibacyCakeAndFuckThePO · 21/04/2015 23:22

Not sure about "people" but I always have (maybe not as Denis Pennis)

His eye are lovely.
