Very trivial discussion (so I know I am being unreasonable already Grin ), but I am reading a thread about nasty celebs from 2008 (google brought me there) and really enjoying the gossip... AIBU to ask who the nicest and vilest celebs are who you have met in real life?

I think JT might refer to someone who was good at dancing, had grease in his hair and then shot some people. But that was a while ago.

dougierose · 21/04/2015 13:10

But on a different note, DH has just texted to say that he's coming home this afternoon to "sort out his car" and I've just spend the entire morning on Mumsnet cleaning the house and now he's going to mess it up before 7pm which is the time he's usually allowed home. Now THAT is Shock

dougierose · 21/04/2015 13:12

How many of those have appeared in Harry Potter hidingfromthem?

Felix75 · 21/04/2015 13:14

BC isn't the one that resembles an otter is he???

Degustibusnonestdisputandem · 21/04/2015 13:14

Neil Gaiman at a book signing, every bit as lovely as I though he'd be Grin He stayed there well past midnight to sign everyone's books (& he thanked US for being so patient!).

BringMeTea · 21/04/2015 13:25

But hang on! Did someone tweet the UK-renowned, all-round great guy Anthony Head?! He deserves the accolades.... (i will be on a London to Bristol train some time in the week beginning 11 May should he be travelling in the general area). I may be in First Class (quiet coach) if I can get the cheap tickets. Though I am prepared to roam up and down a bit.

MurielWoods · 21/04/2015 13:26

Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall - utterly up himself, vile little man.
Sting - ditto
Nick Kershaw - ditto
Marti Pellow - aloof (unsurprisingly), not good first impression however
Rowan Atkinson - arrogant and very rude to a friend of mine who had actually stopped to assist him many years ago when his car broke down (Rowan's car that is)

The only nice celebrity I have encountered is Judi Dench. She seemed very warm and lovely.

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 21/04/2015 13:28

RG - works in an Office? Or another RG?

Bambambini · 21/04/2015 13:29

I know these threads can be fun but do folk really believe what some random on the Internet tells them?

Sansarya · 21/04/2015 13:31

Ah, I've figured out who GC is. I've often thought the same as his girlfriends always seemed to have use-by dates, IYKWIM, but who knows?

ArcheryAnnie · 21/04/2015 13:33

Another one here who can testify how kind and adorable and totally not-up-himself Anthony Head is. Seriously, he should get some kind of award.

Another one is Christopher Judge, who played Teal'c in Stargate. I saw him at a sci-fi thing, and you have never seen someone work so hard and be so unremittingly kind to fans over hour and hours and hours. He remembered fans who obviously turned up often, asked how they were, and even at the end of what had to be a very long, intense day for him was as sweet and attentive as at the beginning. Also, he's just a bloke when you see him onscreen, pleasant but nothing to get excited about, but in person he is INCANDESCENTLY, FURNITURE-MELTINGLY HOT. Seriously, seriously good-looking. You have no idea.

Bill Bailey let me go ahead of him in Pret once. Dunno why, but it was kind of him.

Michael Douglas. Sweet, polite, very well-mannered and surprisingly shy.

LeBearPolar · 21/04/2015 13:36

That's way too many initials to work out...

If BC is Benedict Cumberbatch I will be Shock!

Writerwannabe83 · 21/04/2015 13:36

I went to watch DOND filmed a while ago and Noël Edmonds came across as pretty rude.

squoosh · 21/04/2015 13:37

I think BC might be a handsome American actor who has become very famous in the last 3 or 4 years.

LeBearPolar · 21/04/2015 13:41

Ohhhhhhhhhhhh - that took me far too long to work out!

dougierose · 21/04/2015 13:41

Or someone who has just got married to a pretty lawyer to ramp up his profile so that he can run for a political career?

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 21/04/2015 13:42

Ahhh I always thought he and Jennifer Lawrence would end up together

My mate worked with Steve backshall and says he's the worst person she's ever had to deal with. Proper diva.

Anjou NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

ArcheryAnnie · 21/04/2015 13:46

All you posting "so-and-so is gay" claims - don't get this thread deleted! There's too much good stuff on here for that!

ItsADinosaur · 21/04/2015 13:47

I need to know who all those acronyms stand for please, I can't work it out!

Apparently Adele is lovely, but her DP is an arse.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 21/04/2015 13:48

B W - Die Hard lead?

J T - well known scientologist?

T C - not very tall, also a scientologist?

H J - Wolverine?

B C - both names sound like surnames?

G C - recently married?

R G - liked a pretty woman once?

Stumped by JR and SC!

worldgonecrazy · 21/04/2015 13:49

Does anyone else find commenting on other people's sexuality a little bit rude? If they don't want their sexuality discussed that is their business. Life is hard enough for gay people without rumour and conjecture. Of course it would make life easier for gay people if they all came out and we all just got on with it, but real life isn't so easy and there is a genuine risk they would be shunned and find themselves out of work.

FluffyTheEvilOne · 21/04/2015 13:52

Stop with the 'X is gay' stuff, please; it shouldn't matter which type of genitals a person finds attractive, and I love this thread and don't want it deleted!

Soooo.....who's seen the twinkly loveliness that is Anthony Head lately? Grin

ArcheryAnnie · 21/04/2015 13:53

You have a point, worldgone. I am interested if someone is an arse or a nice person, but it's not really my business if they are gay or straight or neither.
