Very trivial discussion (so I know I am being unreasonable already Grin ), but I am reading a thread about nasty celebs from 2008 (google brought me there) and really enjoying the gossip... AIBU to ask who the nicest and vilest celebs are who you have met in real life?

Jake Quickenden is lovely! My friend and I met him and Paul from XF just before the live shows last year. They were at a small concert in London. I was pleased he did well on IACGMOOH!

Coumarin · 20/04/2015 15:33

The conversation between little ahbollocks and Prince Charles has cheered me up no end. Grin

Me - you should probably have your lunch soon you know.
Pc- I certainly hope I do
Me- there's a cafe on platform 3

Lovely!

FluffyTheEvilOne · 20/04/2015 15:39

Sansarya, I think Anthony Head has made it his personal mission to be lovely to everyone in the UK. Don't worry, I'm sure he'll get to you eventually Grin

shadowfax07 · 20/04/2015 15:39

Moan Ranger, Mark Phillips has made a groom cry within my earshot, he's not as nice as you think he is. We were in the next horsebox to him at a show, and he let rip at the poor girl because she hadn't cleaned a piece of tack to his ridiculously high standard. We had to borrow a girth off them, it was better than any of ours.

Chippednailvarnish · 20/04/2015 15:46

Jeremy Beadle's fundraising topped £100 million!!

londonrach · 20/04/2015 15:47

Who is anthony head as seems everyone has meet him. Unless he is a twin he seems to be everywhere...Grin

DreamingofSummer · 20/04/2015 15:50

My only claim to fame is meeting Rory Bremner. He was lovely.

squoosh · 20/04/2015 15:52

For the ten of us in the UK who haven't met Anthony Head, here's a picture. It was probably taken when he was on his way to be charming to a fan.

Anthony Head

From coffee guy next door to Buffy's mentor to Herc in Cabin Pressure.

I bet John Finnemore is lovely.

KurriKurri · 20/04/2015 16:03

John Simm, Stephen Fry, Richard Herring all lovely. Simon Callow the actor - total sweetheart. Ian McKellen - adorable. My DIL met Rik Mayall a couple of times and he was incredibly kind, charming and very funny.

Jacqueline Wilson the children's author was lovely - my DD was big fan but couldn't get to a book signing because she was playing ina concert that day. So her brother queued for her and got her a signed book for Christmas. JW had a long chat with him and he explained it was for his sister and she wrote a lovely long note inside the cover for my DD and said she had a lovely brother.

JK Rowling - not so pleasant but maybe was having an off day.

I met Gerald Durrell (the naturalist and author) as a child - he was big hero of mine, and he was very kind to me and had a long chat.

Friend of mine met Eric Morecambe when she was a child (her dad worked in TV) and he was also a lovely man and very sweet and funny to the children.

I'm trying to think of any nasty ones, but can't.

OhGiveItARest · 20/04/2015 16:03

Squish that just made me laugh and laugh! Grin

Is Anthony Headon Twitter? I think he deserves to know how lovely everyone thinks he is. Someone give him the heads up!

OhGiveItARest · 20/04/2015 16:05

Squoosh rather.

imonkey · 20/04/2015 16:05

Michelle Keegan was always so lovely and down to earth when I worked at Granada, it was before she really became a household name though but I'd like to think she's still the same

snozzlemaid · 20/04/2015 16:21

nickersinaknot Yes I met Aidan Turner - he was dressed in full Poldark costume too Grin

Sansarya · 20/04/2015 16:23

Envy Envy Envy

RiojaHaze · 20/04/2015 16:26

If you want to meet Anthony Head, just hang around in the centre of Bath - I've seen him quite a few times there! And he is very friendly!

Snowsquonk · 20/04/2015 16:27

I've met John Finnemore and he's a sweetie. As is Jon Culshaw who has some endearing (or possibly odd) child-like tendancies - he can't stop doing impressions and I wonder where the real Jon actually is.

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 20/04/2015 16:28

Didn't meet Jason Donovan precisely, but he came to a gig at my student union, which was having an 80s revival night and all decked out with photos of the Kylie-Jason Neighbours wedding. Someone in the audience shouted 'Jason Donovan takes it up the arse!' and he replied into the microphone 'No, I don't, but Kylie does!' Grin

Devora · 20/04/2015 16:28

Ah yes, Marco Pierre White. Hideous man. Vile to everyone, but does a lovely line in misogyny.

homeeddays · 20/04/2015 16:34

Stefan Gates, from kids tv show Gastronauts etc. top bloke, we had him sign a book at a science fair and he stopped for a photo and chatted with us and the kids for 10 minutes or so at the end of his stage show, total inspiring!

chocolateyay · 20/04/2015 16:35

Awww MPW - seemed so nice on his travel series. Please god, nobody say anything nasty about Michel Roux Jr!

TheAssassinsGuild · 20/04/2015 16:37

Chocolate - MPW is an utter cock. But without any of the redeeming features that a real life penis can offer.

Coumarin · 20/04/2015 16:38

Yes I met Aidan Turner - he was dressed in full Poldark costume too

Oh, here she goes... Envy

Grin

I haven't met Anthony Head either. Is there a helpline? Maybe we should start a support group.

herethereandeverywhere · 20/04/2015 16:39

Just crossed a road with Jo Brand coming the other way about an hour or so ago. She was Hmm at me pointing out a helicopter as a 'welly-wopter' [in family joke] to my 2 DDs but I smiled at her and got a nice smile back.

squoosh · 20/04/2015 16:39

In MPW's steak houses he has lots of pictures of himself on the walls...............pictures taken about 30 years ago. All a bit sad.
