Got a save the date stating wedding will be from Friday to Sunday. It's 3.5 hours away as well... aaargh!

I just searched for this thread as i remembered reading about this a few mouths ago.
A friend just posted a load of pics from a wedding that was a camping in a field type wedding and I wondered if it was the same one and the op had changed the date

Jelly, funny you should mention that, I've also remembered a wedding thread which involved camping - although I think it was a couple of years ago now. IIRC the camping was to be on the BTB's parents' 'land' which was in the back of beyond. I vaguely recall that none of the guests were going to be allowed into the house and the OP of that thread was worried about what facilities were going to be provided. And, yes, DC were also invited to that camping wedding too.

Apples, is the hotel reasonably close by? Or is it going to involve a longish drive between hotel and field? It all sounds rather irksome really!

There is a reason that the festival season ends at the end of august.

It is a save the date. So save it. Dont make any more plans until you know any more info.

I'd forgotten the bit where the hosts were going to charge the guests 20 quid per head to camp in their field - with no facilities (?) - so it was going to cost the OP 80 quid , as they had two DC.

Good grief somebody has invited you to share their wedding with them. The horror! If you don't want to go then just say so but moaning about it is rude.
