Could I vote UKIP.... if it would regenerate my town?

We have a failing town, the last bank has left, we still have a post office, and a couple of other shops, and there is a little car park there, where they charge you as soon as you get there.

We (me and my friends) think that if it was free for a couple of hours we would go in and get stuff, maybe go to one of the cafes there, but no, as we can get free parking in the nearest (slightly bigger) town, we just go there.

I was talking to a local shop owner who is up for election on the local council - he said he wants to sort the parking, but cannot run on the lib/green/lab/cons side as they are all in the 'keep parking charges' for various reasons. He said he is going in as UKIP as he would never get in as an independant. I dont think i could bring myself to vote UKIP though....

I shall leave now knowing things are going to change and feeling glad about that.

Grantaire · 07/04/2015 22:52

Can I speak for me and very many close to me and say...

Bye bye then.

UncertainSmile · 07/04/2015 22:52

You know what saddens me? That your vote is completely based on prejudice and hearsay. People died to be enfranchised, yet you don't have the curiosity to think for yourself.

TondelayoSchwarzkopf · 07/04/2015 22:55

I leave this thread a lot more optimistic, because based on their written English, reading comprehension and ability to follow a logical train of thought, most Ukippers are going to struggle with finding the polling station.

UncertainSmile · 07/04/2015 22:57

Tories you can argue with (generally). The have the power of reason, and can back up their opinion. Kippers? Dead behind the eyes.

UncertainSmile · 07/04/2015 23:07

There seems to be a similarity between conspiracy theorists and a lot of Kippers. They behave as if a great truth has been revealed to them, as if they have been chosen, that they are special. That truth is invisible to the rest of us sheep, who are fed lies by the media.
I suppose it helps alleviate the everyday frustrations of life; in my experience, UKIP supporters are often those 'left behind' by life; frustrated middle aged men who feel like no-one listens to them anymore, the politically unsophisticated, those who feel that their lives are out of their control; that some mysterious 'they' are stopping them flying their flag, or expressing pride in their national identity.

Sallyingforth · 07/04/2015 23:26

UKIP has put the cat amongst the pigeons no matter what their "policies" are for that I am glad.

Sums it all up really :(

ArcheryAnnie · 07/04/2015 23:38

Do "claims" have to be backed up. Sometimes things "just are".

Yes. If you are going to make major decisions based on what people say, then you need to see some evidence. Otherwise anyone with a silver tongue and a good line in bullshit will win the day, and that won't be good for anyone.

and normal joe blogs has had enough.

But who counts as "normal joe bloggs"? I work, and I'm working class. Most of the people I know work and are working class, and they don't think like you do. Do none of our opinions count?

Whatthefucknameisntalreadytake · 07/04/2015 23:40

Op, who do you think should pay for the upkeep of the car park? The local businesses?

Peter147 · 08/04/2015 00:58

As I am awaiting for my membership to this site to be cancelled and I got messaged about further drivel replies to my previous blogs. I decided to add this final post. My God you all think that you know everything, so pompous and stuck up your own backsides, with your weak liberal views and the yellow streak down your backs.
This is definitely a Looney Leftie Forum. I have never heard so much gibberish in all my life. What is UKIP going to do, you idiots ask?

UKIP will leave the EU and save at least £8bn pa in net contributions. Stop press: now increased by a further £1.7bn
We will control our borders and control immigration, with ‘points based’ work permits.
UKIP will abolish the Department of Energy and Climate Change, and repeal the Climate Change Act 2008 which costs the economy £18bn a year.
No new subsidies for wind farms and solar arrays. UKIP will abolish green taxes and charges in order to reduce fuel bills.
UKIP will cut the foreign aid budget by £9bn pa, prioritizing disaster relief and schemes which provide water and inoculation against preventable diseases.
Schools will be allowed to apply to become grammar schools.
UKIP will remove tuition fees for students taking approved degrees in
science, medicine, technology, engineering, maths on the condition that
they live, work and pay tax in the UK for five years.
UKIP will increase personal tax allowance to the level of full-time minimum wage
UKIP will scrap the HS2 project which is uneconomical and unjustified
David Cameron, Nick Clegg and Ed Miliband

UKIP will guarantee those who have served in the Armed Forces for 12 or more years a job in the police force, prison service or enlarged border force
UKIP will protect the Green Belt and introduce incentives for development on brownfield instead of greenfield sites
Inheritance tax will be abolished.
We will ensure that visitors to the UK, and migrants until they have paid NI for five years, have private health insurance as a condition of entry, saving the NHS £2bn pa.
We will stop further use of PFI in the NHS and encourage local authorities to buy out their PFI contracts early where this is affordable.
We will end the unfairness of devolved nation’s MPs voting on English-only issues.
UKIP will withdraw from the European Court of Human Rights, reverse the UK opt-in to EU law and European Arrest Warrant and replace with extradition agreements.
We will repeal the Human Rights Act and replace with a new British Bill of Rights. The interests of law-abiding citizens & victims will always take precedence over criminals.
UKIP opposes the bedroom tax. It operates unfairly, taking insufficient account of the availability of alternative accommodation or the needs of families and the disabled.
We would review all legislation and regulations from the EU (3,600 new laws since 2010) and remove those which hamper British prosperity and competitiveness.

So digest that BIWI, UNCERTAINSMILE, OURYVE, LOVEAREREADING, BETTERTOGETHER AND ALL YOU OTHER TROLLS. GET A LIFE. LAST POST FROM AS I'M AWAY TO BE ANONGST INTELLIGENT PEOPLE, YOU KNOW, UKIPERS HA HA HA.

UncertainSmile · 08/04/2015 01:02

FROM AS I'M AWAY TO BE ANONGST INTELLIGENT PEOPLE, YOU KNOW, UKIPERS HA HA HA.

You really couldn't make it up.

Peter147 · 08/04/2015 01:06

Before you all jump on the spelling mistake, type error, last post from me, as I'm away to be amongst intelligent people, you know, UKIPERS. HAHAHA.

UncertainSmile · 08/04/2015 01:09

I could tell the bits that you had copied and pasted, it was the only part of any of your posts that was spelt correctly.
Bye then, Peter. Tomorrow Belongs To You, and all that.

Peter147 · 08/04/2015 01:11

Uncertainsmile, what a weak individual you are, you couldn't wait to get the spelling mistake in could you? So I pressed the N Key instead of the M Key. Two wankers most certainly made you up, no doubt about that Troll. Nice to know YOUR BEAT DIMWIT.

UncertainSmile · 08/04/2015 01:11

Poor Poochie Peter.

Could I vote UKIP.... if it would regenerate my town?
UncertainSmile · 08/04/2015 01:14

Petey, I don't think you pressed any key by mistake. You just mashed the keyboard with your fingers, and posted the results.

Well, that was fun.

Peter147 · 08/04/2015 01:21

You patronizing bastard oh yes that was fun now go to bed like a good little girl before you get into more trouble. You are obviously going through you midlife crises. Have you tried some hormone replacement? Your man finally left you because you wouldn't take off the Trousers poor thing.

UncertainSmile · 08/04/2015 01:26

Please MNHQ, don't delete any of this after Peter's inevitable ban. It's important to know what these people are like, how full of hate they are, and what life in this country would be like if they ever had a sniff of power.

Peter147 · 08/04/2015 01:31

Too close to home Uncertainlefty huh, you can dish it out but you can't take it. Oh please MNHQ keep Peters posts to show all the lefties how bad he is. ha ha ha you weak piece of crap.

UncertainSmile · 08/04/2015 01:32

See, daffsandtulips? This is UKIP unmasked for you. Peter is a fascist, pure and simple. Both of my grandfathers fought against his sort, at Arnhem and across France. This is what you want to vote for.

Kampeki · 08/04/2015 01:36

Yes indeed! I hovered over the "report" button for a moment, but then decided that it would be better for the posts to remain.

It seems that we don't need to campaign against UKIP at all. As this thread amply demonstrates, we just need to provide them with a platform so that they can expose themselves for what they really are. I feel nothing but pity, actually.

I do hope that MNHQ will let the posts stand.

It's all water off a ducks back to me, Peter. You can say what you like. I've faced down your sort many a time. With every post you are showing people your true self. That's why I've asked MNHQ to keep your contributions.
