Outrageous comment Finger on the button

adsy · 27/03/2015 20:45

not outrageous. the view of a realist who is frightened of where this is all leading

Koalafications · 27/03/2015 20:47

Fingeronthebutton that post is a bit Hmm

ShouldIworryornothelp · 27/03/2015 20:52

I feel sorry for the girl. She didn't stand a chance being raised by parents who held such extremist views

I also feel desperately sorry for moderate Muslims who all get lumped in with these extremist wankers and get all the prejudice slung at them too.

pippitysqueakity · 27/03/2015 21:00

Yes, outrageous.

Hillingdon · 27/03/2015 21:05

I am getting increasingly concerned about all of this, humble immigrant indeed! Now his daughter has gone to God knows where and was blaming all and sundry. How dare he preach to a country who took him in in good faith.

lem73 · 27/03/2015 21:07

Very true Hillingdon.

MrsAidanTurner · 27/03/2015 21:08

should girls/children raised in whole communities who espouse this - in countries with NO education and are cut off from the rest of the world, these girls, were however educated in a democratic western liberal country.

They knew right from wrong. So they did have a chance and I think its horrid to think of all the people trapped in oppressive regimes to try and say they didn't!

MrsAidanTurner · 27/03/2015 21:10

And our police made a grovelling apology him after being batted off, when asked - how did they come to these ideas, with " who knows what goes on in the head of a 15 year old girl, who can explain Justine Bieber"!!

Shambles.

ShouldIworryornothelp · 27/03/2015 21:15

aidan clearly you were raised in a liberal household. If you're raised in an oppressive household regardless of what country you are in it will drag you down and negate any education you have

lem73 · 27/03/2015 21:18

I don't have the same political views as my parents but I was brought up to have an open mind so I had the chance to develop my own view of the world. I wonder if these girls were given the same opportunity.

TheFairyCaravan · 27/03/2015 21:21

YANBU at all.

I never bought the "we never knew what was going on, we're a humble immigrant family without extremist views" story.

It was absolutely disgusting behaviour forcing the police in to apologising for their mistakes in the first place but now this has been revealed well, I'm just speechless!

Hillingdon · 27/03/2015 21:21

We really need to cone down hard on this. In our eagerness to show how pc we are the police apologised to this man who was pulling the wool over everyone's eyes.

No longer, should the UK put up with this, live and choose to live in this country but you won't be welcome with your radical views.

Hillingdon · 27/03/2015 21:24

Funny how he has made no further comment. Tbh - I think we need to look very carefully at this man and his family. Decide whether we want him in the UK.

Honestly - would you want to live next door to him.....

Viviennemary · 27/03/2015 21:26

So much for the police apologising. Confused

HermioneWeasley · 27/03/2015 21:29

Agree, all the posturing and demanding police and intelligence services apologise is fucking disgraceful

Hillingdon · 27/03/2015 21:41

Why were the police so quick to be shown as politically correct and so slow at picking up the backgrounds....I never understood the denial that they had no idea - Muslim families are known to keep a very careful eye on their daughters.

PuttingouthefirewithGasoline · 27/03/2015 21:45

and so slow at picking up the backgrounds

This is perhaps the most^ worrying aspect of the whole thing. One would have thought all this( photographic evidence) would have been to hand, before the meeting. Is this how rubbish we are?

Hillingdon · 27/03/2015 21:47

Sorry, my DM was an immigrant in the 1950s. She spent the next 40 hrs teach in an infant school in London. It makes me sick to my stomach when people like this take and take and play the race card, and we let them!

This families background needs to be ripped apart. They need to be investigated to the nth degree.

Hillingdon · 27/03/2015 21:52

I presume they are UK citizens? There were plenty on MN when this story broke saying it wasn't the girls fault, they were only kids, they didn't knowcwhat they were doing.

Clearly no one knows how this is going to end but what happens if God forbid these stupid girls start taking part in killings, are we still going to say that it is not their fault???

Joyfulldeathsquad · 27/03/2015 21:56

putting if I was the the cynical type I would reason the police all ready knew before the apology.

TheFairyCaravan · 27/03/2015 21:56

We'll never know what was being talked about it that house but I highly doubt they were condemning ISIS and etrexmism. The authorities in this country appear to be so bloody lax and too afraid of upsetting people instead of doing their jobs properly.

TheFairyCaravan · 27/03/2015 21:57

Joyful I too think the police knew about this before they apologised.

Hillingdon · 27/03/2015 21:59

Sorry, if they knew why would they apologise. We are just so soft and don't want to upset others or am I missing something?

PuttingouthefirewithGasoline · 27/03/2015 22:00

If the police knew, why on earth didn't they grill him, show him the picture, when they asked why they thought the girls had run off, and his solicitor batted off the crux of the whole issue with some lame irrational comment about silly girls? Why didn't they ask him what he was doing at the rally? Its a PR disaster, silly Britain, soft touch. Oh we are so sorry we didn't provide an envelope. You poor sweet worried Father Confused
