Neighbour won't give me my parcel!

Nannyplum2015 · 24/03/2015 16:22

I've problems with this neighbour before over parking.

She's had a parcel of mine since Wednesday last week and I know she is in but she is refusing to open the door. Wibu if I knocked the door down? It's a present I need to give to someone on Saturday.

"The petty girl in me would want to accidently hose it with water urine so it stinks."

Fixed your typo there Tali Wink

HelpMeGetOutOfHere · 31/03/2015 12:10

that's baiting isn't it? she wants you to come round and hammer on her door, so she can call the police for harassment.

I would take a pic and send it to the retailer, letting them know where the stolen goods are. She is quite clearly a fruit loop and I would report this to the management company to go on file along with the car business.

TaliZorahVasNormandy · 31/03/2015 12:10

Ahh yes Raptor, silly me Grin

The company wont follow up, it would take too long. Batshit neighbour effectively got a free jumper.

Sianilaa · 31/03/2015 12:11

How could she have worn it? I thought she was a larger lady?

Minisoksmakehardwork · 31/03/2015 12:12

I wonder if bat shit neighbour is an ex neighbour of mine? She blatantly stole from parcels I'd had delivered - even left them opened and on my doorstep one xmas. Her dd accidentally ratted her out when we'd bought her a present, and on opening, little girl said mummy and daddy had got her one just like it. We had got ours replaced. There were many, many incidents with neighbour though. Bread all over my front path, clothes going missing, parcels going missing. I took a delivery for her once and asked the delivery driver to note on the card he left her how many parcels it was. I got a letter a while later from the company saying that neighbour was claiming I'd stolen some of the parcels. I'm guessing she didn't want to pay for everything as they were having serious money issues (our dh's were friends). They found in my favour thankfully. Especially when I was able to show a track record of parcels going to their house going missing.

WicksEnd · 31/03/2015 12:18

Bloody hell! The bare faced cheek of the woman!

mellicauli · 31/03/2015 12:25

No point trying to negotiate with someone who is deranged.

Focus your efforts on calling the company you bought the goods off - you haven't received your goods and until you do they haven't fulfilled their side of the contract. So you should get a full refund or replacement goods. You didn't ask them to send it to next door, after all, you asked them to send it to you.

swampster · 31/03/2015 12:31

What BreconBeBuggered said: photo, send to the company and to the police. Actually, tweet it to the company. Companies tend to respond to tweets.

JessieMcJessie · 31/03/2015 12:32

she's already got a refund mellicauli.

CatsCantTwerk · 31/03/2015 12:34

This sis still going on? She really has some front Shock

StackladysMorphicResonator · 31/03/2015 12:37

This is astonishing! Shock

She ACTUALLY put it on her ACTUAL washing line? I love it!

Jacana · 31/03/2015 13:07

Jaw dropping moment hereShock

Please take photos nanny and if it's as windy there as it is here, it won't be on the clothesline for much longer Wink

Any idea what you're going to do now? It's obviously not hers as you've said its a different size to anything she'd wear, you have proof that she took the parcel in and, presumably, a mag.pic of the one you ordered, and details of the size you ordered.

See what I'm doing here? There is such a cast iron case for asking your community policeman to come round and sort the 'lady' out. And retrieve the jumper.

Really, I urge you, she needs to be called out on this, but not by you.

But first, take that photo.

Collaborate · 31/03/2015 13:22

I'd post a flyer round your road including a copy of the notice put through your door, a statement of the times you went round and she's not handed it over, and a photo of it hanging on her line.

Don't make any out and out accusations. But you can suggest that until a satisfactory explanation is received, to secure future deliveries they may want to stipulate that if they're not in, parcels should not be left with NFH.

MissYamabuki · 31/03/2015 13:26

ShockIt's a trap, OP! She wants you to break in or lose your temper with her. Don't do it!

Take a picture, send to the seller, the police and the management company. I second previous advice to contact the police and have all incidents recorded officially, with a crime number for the theft. This woman has the potential to cause long-term trouble and if it was me I'd like to be able to prove that every issue has been created by her, unprovoked.

Apart from that NDN doesn't sound 100% right. She's managed to cause a lot of resentment out of nothing so she must be getting into trouble constantly in other areas of her life. I'd be contacting age concern or SS to see if they can come round for a chat and assess if she needs support or someone keeping an eye on her.

SpringTown46 · 31/03/2015 13:30

Yup, take a picture, send to the seller, the police and the management company.

You really need to record this stuff properly as her behaviour so far suggests it is likely to continue in one form or another; although relatively minor so far, experience suggests these things can become more problematic.

Please mark her card, for your own sake.

passthewineplz · 31/03/2015 13:33

She's nuts. Stay well clear!

MurielWoods · 31/03/2015 13:34

Could you place another order online for say some live ants or some locusts for your pet Gecko and then leave an order note saying if not in please deliver to number xxxx

Then hide and wait for the reaction ........

I have the top end of a pigeon in my garden (waiting for DH to remove it - thanks Cat!), could always pop it in a jiffy envelope and send it to your neighbour if you pm me the address. I'll send it second class so it's right whiffy Wink

Psipsina · 31/03/2015 13:36

I would be casing the fences for a route in.

Seriously - can you? I definitely would. She may be filming you though.

Psipsina · 31/03/2015 13:37

Or a very long pole with a hook on the end. Can you see if it is attached to the line with anything?

Or you could attach a flaming spill to the end of a pole, and set fire to it. That would puzzle her

(not serious suggestion but fun fantasy)

SquareTheCircle · 31/03/2015 13:40

Time to bring out the elf, I feel…

blueemerald · 31/03/2015 13:41

You need shipyourenemiesglitter.com/ OP. There is one that will send candy penises (peni?) too.

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 31/03/2015 13:42

She's baiting you.

I'd steer well clear of her.

squoosh · 31/03/2015 13:43

I'd get a Nerf super soaker fill it with urine and spray it at her washing line.

passthewineplz · 31/03/2015 13:48

Love the glitter website. Grin

BreeVDKamp · 31/03/2015 14:01

GrinShockGrin this is just astonishing!! My jaw dropped when it was revealed the jumper is on the line. WOW.

Don't go and get it! It's a trap!!

I am interested to know, as a pp asked, does she live alone? Have family or friends? Being alone in life is absolutely no excuse for being such a twat, but might explain why she's such a weirdo.

I'm imagining a portly, bitter woman who can't smile.
