I've problems with this neighbour before over parking.

She's had a parcel of mine since Wednesday last week and I know she is in but she is refusing to open the door. Wibu if I knocked the door down? It's a present I need to give to someone on Saturday.

OP posts:

I thought it was only slander if it is untrue?

FastWindow · 27/03/2015 21:44

Untrue until proven true . We know it is but Don't think the op want a slander case on top of the car and jumper saga.

Actually it's libel as it's written Grin pedantic much

FastWindow · 27/03/2015 21:47

Me, that is. Not you choc

SoupDragon · 28/03/2015 07:40

The OP should send herself a glitter bomb in a large box and arrange to be out. A note suggesting parcels can be left at "number 23" would help.

Dognado · 28/03/2015 07:48

Pop a thank you card through the door saying thank you as company gave you a refund plus an extra voucher for your trouble and not to worry if police call round as you'll let them know it's resolved when you get a chance, if you have time.

Jacana · 28/03/2015 08:19

dognado why should OP let NFH off the hook? Just...why?Shock

The fact is, she's holding a parcel which she knows belongs to nanny, the arrangement between the supplier and her is irrelevant to the fact.

Parcel up aged dead fish
Post to self
Fail to answer door
See if neighbour accepts delivery
Fail to collect
Feel smug

darkness · 28/03/2015 08:29

Did you know you can have live fishing maggots delivered ?
To yourself...obviously Wink

darkness · 28/03/2015 08:31

Depends if you think she has or hasn't opened your parcel

RealHousewifeOfSheffield · 28/03/2015 08:35

jacana I think you've missed the PA tones there of dognados post Wink i like it dognado

Jacana · 28/03/2015 08:49

Nah, didn't miss it, just think it's daftHmm

whoreandpeace · 28/03/2015 10:57

Have you googled her name to see if a local paper story comes up with any 'history'? She may have had to move due to previous.

Jacana · 28/03/2015 11:20

She really is a corker, isn't she? Moved to a new house, pissed off all the neighbours, now...this?

I'm sure there was a book called 'how to make friends and influence people'. can you find out her birthday, nanny? Grin

Spadequeen · 28/03/2015 11:23

You should send her a glitter bomb Grin

Dognado · 28/03/2015 13:24

Jacana, I think it might lose something in the explaining, so let's go with daft.

yy do fish thing!

AccidentalAnarchist · 28/03/2015 19:39

It's so wearing, having tension and bad feelings with neighbours. I do feel for you, OP

Allbymyselfagain · 28/03/2015 22:55

Sorry but if NDN wants to call the police due to "slanderous" poster in window they can pop into her house and retrieve OPs parcel can they not?

UncleT · 29/03/2015 08:48

antumbra it's hard to believe you actually did read the thread, given that it repeatedly refers to a wider context of bad behaviour from the neighbour.

Jacana · 29/03/2015 09:51

nannyplum any news?

perrita · 29/03/2015 11:48

I wouldn't bother messing about with notes etc just ring 101 for advice it's theft

Jacana · 29/03/2015 12:17

I don't agree with what I'm going to write, but the fantasy of NAR and FONAR doing the bizz with their cars again, has a certain appeal. And if it's in her garage, blocking it in with FONAR's while he has his lift to work, swapping over at the end of the day. And posting a ransome note on her garage door. Yep, I like my fantasy!

chicaguapa · 29/03/2015 12:37

I'd ring and get a crime number just for records, even if they don't come out and do anything.

Plus add it to your list with the parking issues. I think you're going to need to record everything because she sounds like she could cause you a lot more trouble in the future and you need to protect yourself. Having an actual crime number for her withholding your parcel will add weight.

BitchBags · 29/03/2015 14:49

Jacana Grin

Orrla · 29/03/2015 16:11

If you order fishing maggots in a matter of weeks she'll have a lovely buzzing parcel. Hopefully curiosity will overcome her and she'll open it. That would be fun!
