Neighbour won't give me my parcel!

I've problems with this neighbour before over parking.

She's had a parcel of mine since Wednesday last week and I know she is in but she is refusing to open the door. Wibu if I knocked the door down? It's a present I need to give to someone on Saturday.

No news really! Posting maggots to myself does sound like fun though! Only if it goes to the right neighbour!

You could always send yourself a glitterbomb, unless she opens it there's no issue...

Jacana · 29/03/2015 17:39

Hiya nanny' the only lowlife maggot atm is your neighbour, I'm afraid, and tho I expect you'd like to post her back through her own letterbox head first I really do feel that it's time to involve the polis to sort her out, once and for all.

I know that you drew a blank first time but upthread someone gave you a link to a specific law, so I reckon nows the time to tell them of this if whoever you speak to is as clueless as the first bloke.

I think this because she seems to equate the parking stuff with this and operating on a tit for tat payback , but really, it's not like that at all.

When she was asked to take in the parcel, she had the option to refuse, and what would have happened then? Well, either they'd have tried another neighbourv or they'd have returned it to sender?

But she agreed to take it, has actually seen you since, has had ample opportunity to pass it to you.

So I really think that you can't give her any leeway. She's got to learn that her actions have consequences.

Silly moo.

All the best.

Just a little update.... The jumper is on her washing line, on its own nothing else Confused. There's no way she could of worn it (can there?) Im not even annoyed, I actually laughed when I saw it!

Vault the fence and take it!

EauRouge · 31/03/2015 11:31

On her washing line?! Shock Did you tell the company that you ordered it from that she'd taken it?

BreconBeBuggered · 31/03/2015 11:33

Take a picture now, and send it to the retailer.

FyreFly · 31/03/2015 11:33

I don't suppose you could get into her garden and grab it quick without being seen? Is she out??

Then if she asks, deny all knowledge. Jumper? What jumper? Oh the one you nicked? No I got a refund and ordered another, you can keep that one ;)

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 31/03/2015 11:34

Ignore. Ignore. Ignore.

She's obviously trying to provoke a reaction from you. It'll drive her mad if you just ignore her or you could surreptitiously scatter lots of bird seed around her washing line to encourage birds to perch and shit all over the jumper

FyreFly · 31/03/2015 11:35

Given it's on its own she's blatantly baiting you though, this really isn't on. I'd have reported theft of a parcel from the moment it became clear she had no intention of giving it to you. Sorry you have to put up with her Op!

Actually she could, it would be trespassing.

ByTheWishingWell · 31/03/2015 11:43

Just hop over the fence and take it back. If she mentions it, just act puzzled- "parcel? I don't remember you saying you'd taken in a parcel for me. Confused"

MrsJK · 31/03/2015 11:46

Wow oh wow Shock

Is she in? As hard as it might be don't rise to it!

NotOnMyWatchOhNo · 31/03/2015 11:46

It's on her washing line and you're not going to do anything? Do you always let people walk all over you?
You really need to grow a pair, I'm finding it all a bit hard to believe.

I'd just take the jumper back, if she called the police, I'd just tell them that she stole my property and I was taking it back, since the police had no interest in helping.

TaliZorahVasNormandy · 31/03/2015 11:50

Oh and when are expecting another parcel, leave instructions to not leave it at batshit neighbours, because that way, if the still do it, its their own stupid fault.

Bogeyface · 31/03/2015 11:50

I am a bit Hmm that you are not going to do anything too.

You now have proof she has it, you can take photographic evidence that it was stolen so do it! Take it to the police if only to make sure that she doesnt pull this sort of stunt again.

It has only got this far because you let it. Make it clear that you will involve the authorities if you need to and she will more than likely steer clear of anything like this in future.

I think you're right not to react. She has clearly put it there to evoke a response from you, so don't give her the satisfaction.

Ignore her. She is pathetic.

thenightsky · 31/03/2015 11:55

Bloody hell Shock

I kind of admire her for game playing at such a high level though Grin

littlehouseinthebigwoods · 31/03/2015 11:58

Just Shock

I think the biggest punishment you can give her is not to react.
Honestly, what must her life be like that this is how she gets her kicks...?!

TaliZorahVasNormandy · 31/03/2015 12:01

The petty girl in me would want to accidently hose it with water, so it shrinks.

TrulyTurtles · 31/03/2015 12:05

I was thinking super soaker filled with ink. But no.
It's the company's now, send pic, if they can be arsed they will follow it up.
