Village group, it says 'does anyone know who this cat belongs to as the owners never seem to let it in and I am tempted to take it home and show it some love'

Followed by a picture of the cat laying outside my front door soaking up the sun!Shock

Bloody cat doesn't want to come in, it wants to lay on the step in the sunshine you nosy baggage.Angry

Omg that made me laugh...sorry Blush

Were they suitably embarrassed when you told them?

Meechimoo · 23/03/2015 18:14

I'd paste your third paragraph in response including the words 'nosey baggage'
We had similar on a local FB page.
I think some eejits just don't get the unusual nuances of felines.

Grin Bloody cats. What did you say ?
CatthiefKeith · 23/03/2015 18:16

No she bloody isn't. She said I clearly don't look after it as she has noticed it has a back leg missing.

£900 fucking quid I spent in vets fees having that bleeding leg removed. Angry

Is she implying you just carelessly lost your cat's back leg? Hmm

God, reminds me of the crazy cat lady down my street who kidnapped my cat because she saw him drinking out of a puddle and assumed we weren't giving him water. Went round there when we eventually found out where he was and she had about 30 cats living with her (not sure if they were all kidnapped from other neighbours). I think she used to have almost all of them in bed with her at night (she told us our cat aggressively vied for position by her head).

YouTheCat · 23/03/2015 18:19

What sort of person sees a cat lying in the sunshine and thinks 'oooh poor neglected soul'?

If I see a cat lying in the sunshine I think 'aw lovely kitty - wonder if I can tempt it to let me stroke it'. Grin

catzpyjamas · 23/03/2015 18:20

I'm sure neighbours think our DCat is homeless Sad He won't wear a collar and gets ill if kept indoors.
Post the exact same photo on the fb page and say "isn't this sunshine lovely? Look at our beloved cat enjoying his favourite spot in the sun"

CatthiefKeith · 23/03/2015 18:20

Maybe she thinks I had it removed for cosmetic purposes. God knows. Woman is clearly batshit.

I'm unreasonably annoyed that my front door number is clearly visible, and my house is quite distinctive ugly

OP posts:
WorraLiberty · 23/03/2015 18:22

I suspect your cat has hacked this woman's account and is having a good old chuckle about it.

Probably thinking "That'll teach you to mess with my legs"

cleanmyhouse · 23/03/2015 18:23

can you comment on the picture? please comment on the picture.

KingJoffreyFanciesDarylDixon · 23/03/2015 18:23

Losing your cat's back leg is pretty careless behaviour...

Wink
Dr0pThePirate · 23/03/2015 18:23

Message her back explaining you paid good money to have the leg removed!

Neglectful indeed! The effrontery Grin

ClaimedByMe · 23/03/2015 18:23

Awe mine ended up on a fb page too as abandoned as she was out and had been shaved and looked thin, her fur was matted she is semi feral and long haired we take her to the vet annually to be sedated and shaved, I am not sure who they thought shaved her Confused

150 feckin quid it costs for her fur upkeep!!

Notrevealingmyidentity · 23/03/2015 18:24

I'd put your third paragraph on the page.

And about her leg.
Legs don't just drop off ! Who did she think paid for the care of the leg ?!

KingJoffreyFanciesDarylDixon · 23/03/2015 18:25

I have a rabbit with only one ear.

Can only imagine what she'd make of me...

fattymcfatfat · 23/03/2015 18:25

Grin to be fair my friend stole a cat once. ..she still has it.
she found a kitten all alone so took it to vets and has kept it since, no one lost its leg though Smile

CatthiefKeith · 23/03/2015 18:26

Someone else has commented that 'he ran across the road the other day. If a car had been coming he would have been run over. Poor thing should be indoors. Some people shouldn't be allowed pets' ShockShockShock

Wtf? Dh thinks it is hilarious.

I have taken a pp's advice and written 'he is very much loved and well fed, and was clearly enjoying the sunshine.'

Fucking fuming. Angry

fattymcfatfat · 23/03/2015 18:28

Grin well then you are just terrible allowing the poor thing to ceoss the road!

hellhasnofurylikeahungrywoman · 23/03/2015 18:29

Cosmetic purposes?! Yes, because a three legged cat is akin to having a tummy tuck job in humans. The woman is clearly as rational as a box of rabid frogs, where does she think you'll find a vet who will amputate a leg for cosmetic reasons?

TrulyTurtles · 23/03/2015 18:30

Well my cat's tail spontaneously fell off due to neglect(according to the local batshit cat lady) and the sit in the window cos they are looking to escape. (Not because the radiator is under the window)

Dr0pThePirate · 23/03/2015 18:31

Keith don't you already have a nutty/weird neighbour issue?

CatthiefKeith · 23/03/2015 18:31

What, like a newts does? Did you scare it or grab it by the tail? Grin
