To be pissed off that someone has accused me of being cruel to my cat on a local FB page?

you let him cross the road with out an adult ? Shock
shame on you Keith.

CatthiefKeith · 23/03/2015 18:33

This isn't even a neighbour Pirate! I don't even know who she is. Shock

I have a school and a village hall in my little road, it would appear that she has gone past a few times, seen the cat outside and decided he is being mistreated!

HmmHmmHmm

This is too funny! Grin

ClaimedByMe - we are in the same situation! My lovely long haired cat is looking very sorry for herself having been de-matted, I keep wondering when some kindly soul is going to "rescue" her.

I had to step in on local FB site last year when someone posted about a missing cat, and someone piped up that it had been seen nearby. There were plans afoot to catch and return it before I pointed out that this particular cat belongs to a neighbour and has lived her for many years. It did bear a resemblance to the missing one but not identical.

CatthiefKeith - that would make me laugh too! I have a lovely image of your cat sunning itself by the door, totally unaware of the drama.

CatthiefKeith · 23/03/2015 18:35

I know Beryl. Sometimes I let him go to the park opposite unaccompanied too.

Perhaps she is right after all....

You're in trouble now letting the cat sunbathe... I hope you put sunscreen on her or you will have the masses baying for blood!

catzpyjamas · 23/03/2015 18:37

So who pushes him on the swings?

WorraLiberty · 23/03/2015 18:39

Does he not wear a high viz jacket when crossing the road? Shock

Shame on you Sad

DuchessofNorks · 23/03/2015 18:41

Truly That happened to one of my Rats once! Freaky finding that thing lying in the doorway [boak]

fattymcfatfat · 23/03/2015 18:41

and what about being spun on the round about? Shock

CatthiefKeith · 23/03/2015 18:42

He wouldn't let me put it on him Worra. I did try but no dice, so I've painted him with fluorescent paint instead. Wink

I had to go & check you're not in the same FB local group as me - this is exactly the type of thing our local one is full of! (That and page long rants about horse shit)
Make him a little artificial leg out of Meccano and post a picture of Robocat sunning himself in his favourite spot after a luxurious lunch. Grin

CatthiefKeith · 23/03/2015 18:46

He can get around just fine, but lays it on thick about 3pm each day for the benefit of passing school children.

Maybe one of them would push him on the swings and roundabout if I asked nicely?

If he's going to sleep on the door step then you should paint WELCOME on the side of him in non toxic paint so he looks like a mat.

It might give him a bit of camouflage.

I think you should add a load of "why did the cat cross the road?" jokes until the mad cat people get bored.

DuchessofNorks · 23/03/2015 18:50

Do you not provide it with sunglasses and a fancy sunhat? She should call the RSPCA on you.

Wink
Boomf · 23/03/2015 18:50

I actually saw this on my local fb selling page today ...

catzpyjamas · 23/03/2015 18:51

Pirate, I like the idea of a Welcome Cat Grin

CatthiefKeith · 23/03/2015 18:52

Maybe In the morning I could dress him in hat, sunglasses etc, and pose him with a mojito (complete with brolly) for a photo.

And then post it on the Facebook page with the caption 'look at my cat enjoying the sunshine' as suggested up thread. Grin

You need to employ a lollycat lady to help it cross the road. That would be the responsible thing to do.

Coffeethrowtrampbitch · 23/03/2015 18:54

Some people can't help but interfere.

Mind you, I felt sorry for the lady who knocked on our door to advise us that our (male, very overweight) cat must be pregnant, would we mind if she took it to the vets to have her kittens and then got her neutered.

My stepfather, who was Danish, gave a great laugh and said 'He is no that. He is male, and has no balls.' and shut the door!
